"This is for for winning my 13,000th pageview. She asked for something cyberpunk and I did my best. I'm not really familiar with the subculture of cyberpunk (and think I accidentally made it a bit too indie), but I think I did okay.

There's a lot to talk about with this one! First of all, the background is made completely out of Webdings. I had SO much trouble with the background; the picture was finished four days ago, but I absolutely couldn't decide on a good background. Finally I was playing around with Webdings and came up with the idea of using it as a background. I must toot my own horn and say I'm extremely pleased with it. It's very indie, very clean, very nice. It was inspired by my LJ layout, which sports the phrase "The future will be better tomorrow". Woo!

Also, the clothes. The idea behind it is that Dib made his own clothes -- hence the choppy stitching and mismatched fabric. I figure, since he's so very tall and skinny, it's difficult to find clothes in his size, so he eventually starts making his own out of scraps of old clothing. Zim had an easier time finding an outfit. His buckle says "fuck"! I stole the idea from K. Sandra Fuhr. Because I'm cool like that. And no, I don't know what the wires in his belly are for, so don't ask. They just look cool.

I was trying a new style of coloring with this, and it definitely shows. I'm rather proud of it, actually. It took a hellishly long time, but it doesn't look as cartoony as I usually do. I'm also proud of the lineart, as usual, but the coloring really stands out in my opinion.

In case you don't get it, the message is that, if Zim and Dib are our future, then we're all gonna die.

In summary, I'm very happy with how this came out. I hope you like it, !"
