I'd like to help, but I suck at explaining things and it takes a lot of my time just to get 'normal' things done, but I feel I should at least try.
Like MaskEcho says, everyone has their 'masks' they wear and that's why you always see the positive side of other people live. People don't like to put their troubles on display. From my own experience, it's best to keep fighting bad feelings rather than to get carried away by them. I understand that's what you've been doing already and it is hard. So I just want to let you know I wish you the best of luck and if I can help, I'll try.
When I'm feeling down, I try to think what I will gain by feeling down and who is getting any better from it. Maybe those that made me feel down, but definitely not me. So I try to consider the problems and setbacks I encounter as (unwilling) teachers that can be used to my advantage, to help me improve and get better at dealing with them. That way I work to make the best of things for myself. It's not easy, but the more I try it, the more it seems to help.
Think I got this from "The Art of Happiness", by the Dalai Lama. It properly explains some ideas that feel very logical and helpful, but which are very hard to bring under words or to truely understand without the right explaination.

Do you really think that all anyone else feels is happiness compared to your pain? Do you really think that you alone wear a mask to hide it all away? We all hold regrets and sorrows we will never lay bare, and oftentimes those people that seem truly happy are the ones who are running their fingers over that trigger as we speak. Trust me, many of the supposed ""'s you see are nothing but fabrications.
