(never done it myself, so I don't have a strong opinion)
Morninglory, allowing herself to be fully exposed on a table of antler. Her legs were wedged apart by tines and she sat up on her elbows, looking down past her enlarged belly. She groaned. "It's starting to come!! uh!" she started pushing.

She strains and struggles, pushing and squeezing the seed down the birth canal. I watch your flower for signs of emergence.

Morninglory groaned and pushed, holding the Queen's hand. Suddenly the seed began to emerge.

"Just one more good push!" I said, squeezing her hand. "Do it for our daughter!"

As she said that, Morninglory yelled and there was the disconcerting sound of eggs cracking and then with a gloopy, sloppy pop and a scream, morninglory produced a seed. She whimpered as her "flower" throbbed in pain and the urge to push attenuated gradually.
"Oh...I was afraid something bad had happened there...is she gonna be okay?" she looked down at the seed with tears on her flushed cheeks.

The physicians examined the seed. "Don't worry your grace, your daughter's seed is okay." One said.
"You should recover within the hour." Said the other, gently placing the seed inside a small satchel of spider silk. "Then you can head to the Garden of Life to plant it."
I clasp your hand tightly. "You were wonderful, my love! My only wish is I could have borne the pain myself."

Morninglory breathed and laid back after getting a good look at the seed. "I'm so glad she's gonna be okay..." she said, a little delirious after the rush of it all.
When she clasped her hand, Morninglory looked at her, "someday you maybe will bear one then..." she said breathlessly, both of her hands now clasping hers.
After a rest, she was surprisingly well and stood, getting herself dressed. "My Queen, do you have her?"

"Safe in here, my love!" I said, patting the silk bag. Once dressed, we flew off to the Garden of Life where a number of fairies were tending to flowers of various growths; the progeny of our race. They showed us to the spot reserved for the seeds of royalty and used their magic to turn up the soil. I handed our daughter seed to you; for, it is tradition that the seed mother be the one to plant the daughter seed.

Morninglory carefully knelt down and dug a hole with two hands in front of her knees in the soft soil, then carefully set the seed inside. She glanced at you, then pushed the soil over it before standing and brushing off her knees. She then watered the spot generously and stepped back with a sigh. "wow...royal seed..." she said half to herself. "The line is continuing" she looked at you smiling.

Every day for the next three months, we trusted the caretakers to tend the flower well. I knew as well as you did, that if anything was going on with our daughter's flower, you'd know on instinct. Still, I couldn't help but check on the flower once a week, curious at how the flower grew.
One day, at the end of the third month, a joyous flutter gripped your heart. Sympathetically, I felt it too, and I knew what it meant. "Our daughter... it's time!"

Morninglory grabbed your hand and gasped, "You felt it too!" She kissed you on the lips, trembling. She whispered, "let's hurry there. I don't want her to be afraid and alone!" she pulled you against her body and flew out the nearest window as soon as she could.

When we got there, the pink flower bud was already stirring. "Your majesties!" One of the caretakers said. "We hoped you would be arriving soon." We watched in anticipation of the flower opening.

The two alighted and carefully came up to the flower. Morninglory looked in the flower as it was wiggling, some of the dew from that morning falling off. She held the flower in her hand, touching the petals, "it's okay, come on out"
(are the babies like human babies...or like little people?)

She cupped the flower and peeled back some of the petals, noticing the rear end of the tiny girl, her wings wrapped around her. "oooh, there you are" whispered Morninglory. The little girl looked up and grabbed onto morninglory's thumb, her wings fluttering.

The pistil attaching the child to the flower via her belly button snapped off cleanly, and she rose out of the flower blossom. She smiled cutely at the both of us, like she knew we were her mothers. "She's beautiful! I can't believe we made her together!" She flew into your arms.

Morninglory held her gently. "Aww there we go" and bounced her a bit before looking at the queen. "You should have this moment too, love" she handed the child to her.

I cradled her in my arms, smiling sweetly at her. She smiled back. "So, what shall we name her?"

"How about DawnMallow?" Said morninglory sweetly. She came up behind the queen and hugged her snuggly from behind.

"I think it's lovely." I touch Dawnmallow on the nose and she let out a cute giggle. I hand Dawnmallow back to you, who eagerly paws at your dress searching for a source of nectar to feed.

Morninglory quickly produced her small, but somewhat swollen breast on one side and allowed those small lips to begin venturing for nectar. She smiled happily, quite satisfied with her life, and looked up at her spouse, her queen, her lover. "It's a good thing you have breasts too, isn't it? She's gonna be really hungry" Morninglory winked.

I giggled before rubbing the pink head of our newborn. "Mmm... our first daughter..." I said. I lean into your ear. "...but not our last." I whisper before rubbing my belly. It looked like Dawnmallow is going to have a sister.

Morninglory let out a hardy giggle, her head cast to the side, "haha you beast...I could never keep you from my flower..." she said, eyeing you. "It's not as pleasant to give birth as it may have looked..." she said solemnly, but with a slight up turn at the corner of her mouth and an eyebrow raised. "You may be too eager to carry my seed..." she giggled again and instinctively, jokingly covered the child's ear with a free hand.

"I know, but it's something I'll be glad to endure if it means a sister for our dear Princess Dawnmallow."
We fly back to the palace and present our daughter to the rest of the Queendom. As the crowd erupts in cheers of "Hail, Princess Dawnmallow!" We both smile and hold her close together. While we know our bloodline is all but secure, the most important thing is, we're a family.

Normally I supply more verbage, but often this felt like really uncharted territory and I was afraid to write a whole paragraph of stuff that is wrong in this fairy world. Sorry about that. I think I could have figured out a way to keep the descriptions rich despite that.

I didn't really have any hard and fast rules other than "all fairies are girls but they can still mate with each other".

I think I'm also used to being the one who writes more stuff and has an idea of where I want the story to go, so seeing your initiative (which is extremely refreshing) put in me uncharted territory as well. Just letting you know that I realize some of what I was doing that was lame.

It's more like the pistil of a flower.
But, yeah, sometimes it feels like I'm the one carrying the entire story (which is especially irritating if I'm responding to another's prompt)

I think part of why I was backing off (not to make an excuse, but just to analyze) and not creating story, was because I assumed you had a strong opinion about where you wanted things to go and I wanted to see where it was going to go. That was lame of me. I could have just been like, (hey, mind if I ____) and you would have blasted that myth. Ah well.
