Exiting VR interface...The room around you looks dusty and totally clutterd like a bomb has gone off you can't resist a cough, though it's difficult to do so. In fact impossible, until you realize you are still bathed in a fluid capsule. However it's severely cracked and you can feel the pull of highly viscous oxygen rich fluid exiting the capsule in gulps, tugging at your skin and around your ankles.
You also remember that somehow you were infected by a mysterious woman through the VR interface. You were able to change things in the real world and in the memories of people. And you were changing yourself.
You notice that you have grown a long cord out of your bellybutton, which currently goes to the base of the capsule and seems to be supplying you with nutrients. You notice that somehow in your VR stasis you have severed the original, plastic cord with your powers. Also the room is totally destroyed around you.
What do you do?
P.S. In chapter 1, basically you were infected, got access to telekinesis and some basic shapeshifting abilities and it's affect your body in the real world somehow. enjoy.

It was Simon, a balding white dude with glasses. "wow...ummm" he looked terrified. "you--you're awake. How did you...did you escape? I...we wondered if there was any other option." he looked really frightened and was reaching for something in his pocket.

Well I woke up then broke out of the tank then when I headed outside and saw a Lazer then got in a hover

He quickly pulled out a hypo needle and jabbed it in your arm. "sorry, but it's to protect the people out here!" you could feel yourself getting dizzy.

Next thing you know you're in a hospital bed with bandages all over and a hospital gown. They've been doing surgery on you to try to get rid of your powers and you have a worse headache than ever before.

The nurse came and tapped on the door. "do you need anything?" she didn't come in right away.

The intercom came on, "okay what do you need?" a little robot came off the wall and moved toward you with a change of bandages and more IV fluid.

The robot inserted some into the IV. You notice that you can move things in the room with your mind if you concentrate on it. Also you can connect to the nurse's mind if you are willing to pay the price.

As you get up, you notice your belly button has been stitched. Also you seem to be heavily drugged as you feel very woozy.

The nurse's voice comes back again "you'll notice that we have provided this chamber for you so as to protect the staff here from infection. You're aboard the SS Hubbard just off the coast of the island. there's no need to worry about the contagion infecting others here" she said curtly.

"That's all for now" she said. "unless you have any specific questions"

"The virus, which you are currently infected with, seems to not be a virus in the traditional sense. You were infected through a VR environment of a quarantined planet. We did not find out the origin of the plague-- that was your mission, but it had mutated and destroyed much of the population there. It gives paranormal abilities which when manifested, begin to transform the host into something inhuman. We are still unsure how it is transmitted." Her voice sounded shaky explaining the situation to you. "Eventually, given what we know of what happened to planet Ceres, you will manifest psychic phenomena and lose your human form. Unless we can remove the contagion from your body somehow. We have done surgery on your brain to try and excise hot spots we've located with an MRI, but we don't know yet if you are cured"

"The only one there is right now is you. The quarantined planet is unreachable physically. You were needed to use the VR environment to explore that world and find out what happened there. Do you have any recollection of what started the outbreak?"

"That is unfortunate. We have enveloped that planet in a singularity pocket, which makes it impossible to leave or enter. It's basically like it's in a black hole. We thought that by going there through VR we could prevent any possibility of infection. Now we cannot send anyone else for risk of infection. Do you have any symptoms so far?"

"We ask of course because there were many manifestations while you were in the VR. Your body transformed into the body of an unknown woman at one point, then back. You moved things around the room, broke things and eventually injured one of the lab workers. Eventually you severed your own life support. This was all while you were unaware, mind you"

"we were afraid that if you cuold be infected, then the rest in the lab could be, and because we have seen the destructive telekinetic powers, we destroyed the lab, thinking you were gone with it."

"right, since we found you, we thought we should take you away from the island in case your powers flared up again, and we are attempting to come up with a treatment for you" You can feel the nurse's presence. She seems to have a lot of compassion for you.

The room appears to be empty except for the IV behind your bed and the robot. There are terminals on the walls and lights above. It's a high tech medical facility on a boat.

The terminal seems have buttons all over it and a screen. What is showing up there doesn't look familiar.

"That's the computer that monitors your brain activity" said the nurse.

"anything I can get you? You can eat in a few hours, I'm told. "

"Absolutely! it should take a few minutes while we get them" she leaves. you can feel a faint pain as she leaves.

You remember suddenly that while you were in the VR, you had learned to use your powers after getting infected (although you didn't think it would hurt you in the real world) and you could shapeshift by focusing on it, or move things, or connect to people and hear all their thoughts. You could even send out shockwaves at one point to protect an old man. Thinking about it gave you another headache. and the rest of the memory wasn't there.
