Started out as a portrait study from a reference and then I put a twist at the end!
Completely recorded as Video Timelapse. Tho my camtasia lost tiny bit of footage at the end. It shows full progress.
I also took a different approach with this one. No line drawing, instead straight up blocking in paint!
Totally had a blast on this girl!

This one is freaking awesome. And the more i look at it the less I can say WHY it is so good.
All the elements of this one are subtle and very powerful. Beyond the obvious things that make it so good, like the contrast of heir face to her hair, the thin trail of apparent blood from her lips, The red lipstick in an otherwise monochrome pallet and the lack of any obvious strong emotion on her face, there are so many possible stories that can go with this image.
The eyes especially, they have a depth and you can tell there is a story behind them but you can't tell what it is.
And its that unknown story that is most compelling, What just happened? Why is there a trail of blood? What is she feeling and why? Should I feel like she needs help? should I run for my life? or just stand there mutely? staring into the depths of her eyes?
