He stared curiously at the pink and yellow of his slowly spinning mobile. Smiling, he lifted his arm and moved his hand back and forth, in the same spinning pattern. His older brother stood over him and watched, smiling as well. He knew he had to be by his baby brother’s side. He had trudged through the streets and dirt roads of Japan, cradling the baby, since the two of them now had nowhere to live. Although approached by a girl about his age, demanding him to give her the baby, he stood his ground and held his brother close. When he refused, the girl gave his baby brother a necklace, so he could be kept a close watch on.
But all that mattered to him now was that his baby brother was safe. Nothing seemed to matter more then that.
