Description
As a child I was born with clubbed feet, this means my feet were bowed inward. In order to correct this surgery was required on both of my feet, several ligaments were cut and stretched, bones rearranged. For many years I actually had nightmares about the surgery even though it was performed when I was less than one. I decided to take a picture of the scars some 20 years after the surgery was done. My feet work fine, but the scars and often times pain and discomfort I feel when I walk helps me to remember not to take things for granted; as simple a thing as walking is it's a gift, and simple gifts shouldn't be overlooked.
