017 QueenarchRoyal Butterfly Poke'mon
Bug/Flying types 2'6" 58.9lbs
Poke'dex:
A beautiful rarity among bug poke'mon, Queenarch is the final stage in the Monarva evolution line, evolving from its cocoon stage of Pupincess. Queenarch are home only to the Chubu region, and laws regulating the releaseof such poke'mon outside its home region are strongly enforced in order to protect this species.
Due to the fragility of its wings, Queenarch suffers in Defense as a natural stat. However, in its evolutionary experience Queenarch has prepared for this shortcoming and has already learned attacks and abilities to help it compensate for this hindrance. A hard body shell allows it to fold its wings and borruw underground, however at this stage it unfortunately suffers points to its own health when it performs this attack. This is why its ability is "Dirt Damage", simply put it allows Queenarch to learn from a select pool of ground moves, however using them will cause damage to the Queenarch using them. It can give Queenarch the edge in battle, but at a carefully calculated cost. It is not recommended trainers risk this move unless their Queenarch has battle experience and had time to level up so its Defense has improved a bit more along with its health.
Queenarch themselves vary in color arrangement, and are often hard to detect in the wild, as they migrate in the autumn season and easily camouflage themselves; a natural defense mechanism. As such, its signature attack early on is "Autumn Dance" in which it flashes its wings in an attempt to either blend in depending on its environment or distract its opponent, in which it performs an in flight dance of sorts, making its way to the opponent striking three to five times. This attack has a chance of inflicting paralysis.
It also has the potential to train in attacks such as "Cut" and "Metronome", both attacks performed by applying wind pressure to weakened earth plates, allowing it access to jagged pieces of land and disrupting natural environments.
It is said that Queenarch used to appear in both Fall and Winter seasons in Chubu, with the Winter forms being much more luxurious and captivating to the eye appearing in startling different hues and coloration. Unfotunately these Queenarch no longer appeared having been hunted and captured to near extinction, and are a large part of the many laws surrounding Queenarch's environmental protection in its native homeland.

So Queenarch was clearly based off of a Queen Monarch Butterfly. I'm not the best with bu designs, but I think it turned out okay. I would've liked the face to have been more cute rather than disturbing with that long sucker nose of its, but alas we must sometimes start out slow to develop our artistic talents and diversity in design range.... :/
Hopefully Queenarch will find some fans however, if you have any tips as to how to improve not just Queenarch but any bug poke'mon I have, please feel free to offer your advice!
