There's probably a funny missing scene there where Starlight meets Sparkler (who would qualify as being caught between heaven and hell due to the whole 'I don't know I died' thing), but before she can explain anything the Master interrupts them and steals Sparkler away for this adventure.

And that poor thestral has been trying to chase the Master down ever since he died.  Except the Master really, REALLY doesn't like to stay dead~  I think it might've decided to go for what little success it can get. XD

Only in the same way that all of the Doctor and Master's other previous incarnations exist inside them.

I don't subscribe to the headcanon that there's a bunch of ex-Doctors inside the current one's head shouting advice at him either, although I've seen it done in fanfics and I do like the concept.

But my headcanon is that while memories are transferred between regenerations, the Time Lord's personality is not.  Hence why 'kung fu government agent' Doctor 3 is a different person from 'pacifist bohemian vagabond' Doctor 4 is a different person from 'gentleman with a high body count' Doctor 5, etc.

So, I believe the Doctor and the Master both remember being John Smith and Professor Yana.  But the Doctor probably feels like he let John Smith down, and the Master most likely hates Yana.

As the closest thing he has to a 'good' incarnation, I imagine he does. 

BTW? THe first doctor from the revived series? I don't think the actor didn't have enough time to develop and establish that incarnation's personality. I mean, in the original series, they were allowed MUCH LONGER story arcs, and while things get as crazy and out landish as they did in the original series (mostly) I feel they try too hard to make everything be about the doctor rather than the excitement and wonder he gets from exploring creation.

Yeah, that's the disappointing thing about Nine.  The most we got from him was 'traumatized death seeker', 'goes berserk around surviving Daleks' and 'minimal respect for most non-Time Lords'.  And now we have the War Doctor in between Eight and Nine...  Even for the Whoverse, it's gotten a little screwy.

Frankly, the biggest problem I have with the new series is that they won't stop emotionally beating the CRAP out of the poor Doctor.  I love Ten, but lots of his episodes depress me.  Eleven hasn't fared much better.

Eenope!  Eight is from the movie!  And that movie was actually the Eighth Doctor's ONLY appearance until 'Night of the Doctor', unless you count the expanded 'verse works of Big Finish Doctor Who...which 'Night of the Doctor' has basically made canon so you might as well~

So yeah, the War Doctor is NEW.

I am still working on mine, by the way.  A new recursive plot bunny nipped my ankles and I'm trying to get at least a third of it done before I post it.  LGP is already almost fully plotted (which for me is kinda amazing, I've always been so terrible about plotting) and coming around nicely~

Do you think Twinkle Shine exists in the Looking Glass verse? Or since she was a final emergency patch by the gods to try and curb the abuse of the wish spell, she wouldn't have had a reason to be created in this reality? 

I wonder if Spike and a certain weather dragon are involved yet in this verse.

Well, there really isn't a reason for Twinkle Shine to exist quite yet...all the damage that would require a patch like that is building much more slowly.

...Mostly because contradictory wishes are still being applied to non-sentient objects, like terrain.
