World Building 110 Rules For AmicitiaSince as Nightmare Eclipse, Twilight Sparkle brought so many worlds to a bad end, as Amicitia, she's chosen to bring about many happy endings in grim dark worlds as possible. She did MUCH MORE work than we ever saw.
However, there are rules to Amicitia's abilities, since the Blank Wolf is created to deal with outsiders and inserts who try to twist a world to that outside's whims, and Amicitia is no exception.
First and foremost, Amicitia can NOT override someone else and control their actions like a puppet. After what she did to Discord for so long, this is IMPOSSIBLE for her to do even if she WANTED TO! Β
So she takes the role of a pony's conscience in story or their voice of reason, or their inner strength, as she did with Big Mac in Sweet Apple Acre's Massacre verse. She brought Big Mac back to his senses.
Since vast majority of Grim Dark fic rely on the ponies acting out of character, (Rainbow Factory, Cupcakes, Massacre), this normally proves very effective. Because a pony's

I especially liked how Sunset turned out to be an Element of Trust.Β Although that's a little related to my Whooves stuff...I've always envisioned him as an Element of Trust.Β Which is why he will NEVER earn any sort of Element of Harmony in ANY of my stories as that Element no longer exists in Equestria.
Though the issue with the matching Element of Chaos being Despair and then purified to Hope's a bit of a puzzler.Β Are there 'purified' versions of the Elements of Harmony as well?Β I guess since they're made from different Rainbows respectively the Elements of Chaos and Harmony wouldn't just meet in the middle...

In the final battle of Tambelon in the Light world timeline, Gorgar's Anti-Elements Of Harmony Squad, in fact created synthetic Elements that were created to be in opposition to BOTH sets of Elements of Harmony and Chaos, being created specifically to be in opposition to both virtues. THEY were in the middle. And that WASN'T a good thing!Β
