I used Photoshop and used a this tutorial of a glass orb. [link] I was bored one day and was browsing the tutorials to keep myself busy and ran into this tutorial. Instead of a bird, I just used a symbol by creating it from scratch using shape tools and next thing I knew, I got addicted of making crystal orb series. I'm planning to make more in the future when I'm not busy with my college work.

I know what you mean when it comes to having to make more. I've been making my own series [link] using a lot of different techniques. I was busy with college, but I have a bit more time now.

Well, I've only seen series 1 and 2 because I usually buy them when they come out in DVD box sets (my parents dominate the TV ) but yeah, Heroes is fabulosa

Oh, well, the story is far from finished but I have the first 10 Chapters or so in one document. I don't think it's really to reveal to the general pupil by uploading it onto dA, but I'd certainly be willing to email it to you and if you like it, continue to send you parts as I write them (when college gives me enough time to )
