1: I never said it was BAD: I simply stated that the story has become somewhat repetitive. I personally thought the Rikasha Incident was quite good!

2: I too am Irish. that quote is a JOKE, made by a British "upper-crust" character, used in a Video game called Team Fortress 2, which also makes fun of Russians, Scots, Australians, Germans, French, and Americans.

3: My concerns over Freddo's stories are based on the fact that Star Blazers has a rather small FanFiction base, and as such when people do go looking for Stories about it, they may get the wrong idea about the series. it was never meant to be a judge on Freddo's character. i am certain he is a most pleasant individual, with a very Vivid Imagination! Star Blazers is lucky to have him as a fan.

That's what's a good sheleileigh for, Gail. A good ass whackin'. The guy seems to have to have the last word on the subject. He needs to talk to some war vets on the 'soiling' matter. When he gets old, with weakening pelvic floor muscles he'll get it. He sure likes reading Freddo's stuff though. Likes my stuff. Oh well, he was warned. Nothing more to say to him.

yeah...but the Sandal thing....that would never fly in Medical conditions...even those nurses who wear sandals wear them with socks or stockings. bare feet is Unsanitary. Artistic license aside, that's basic fact.

Word: Check some of the Japanese nurse art on Pixiv, www.pixiv.net . In a live-action Japanese film (murder mystery), a doctor and nurse doing an autopsy had rubber OR sandals on...on bare feet.

In Freddo's fic, there is still a stocking shortage on Earth (pantyhose rationing because nylon was needed for parachutes & military uses). And Nova finds having stockings on binding. The PS2 Yamato game artwork, Dr. Sado/Sane often has geta (Japanese sandals on short stilts) on. With bare feet. Granted, he is eccentric.

If you also watch Tezuka's Black Jack, the recent anime, assisting nurses are seen with some sort of OR "Dr. Scholl" type ergonomic sandal, though sometimes with the foot scrubs on (depending on country or hospital he's visiting).

OPh - plus Nova is a anobsessive "clean freak". She does shower alot. Derek even teased her about it once in one of the fics.
