Don't know what to say, that's very kind of you. I feel a bit... guilty? Premium is basically dedicated for professionals to boost their ego even more. I didn't get Premium by myself because I never found it super-necessary, but damn, that's great to have one

DA was the only site I was using 'TheValcian' as a username on. My main online handle is 'Auth', but in the event this username is taken or not long enough, I go with 'Authsauce'. Just got Premium so I figured why not.

Some dude took my username so I had to add "95" behind it. That guy just made an account with name I wanted and never came back online again. The universe is against me :/

Deviant since 2004, and 0 account activity. They just registered the name and left it. And DA has a strict no-using-any-name-that-has-ever-been-registered-ever policy, so there's literally nothing that can be done. At least other sites will look into legitimate username 'squatter' situations (Twitter, Facebook, etc). Oh well.

The Awakening Saga has been placed on hold while I pursue other projects, namely Black Treason Studios.
As a graphic designer, the quality of the Awakening Saga site had become critically outdated. Instead of redesigning an entire site over an inactive project, I simply forwarded the domain to an active one.

"The new version I'm working on will be 14,400 x 10,800 pixels (36" x 48" @ 300dpi) and my goal is to have it ready for print by my birthday (this Saturday). I don't know if I'm going to meet my deadline though, haha. But definitely stay tuned - I'll post it up here (albeit, in a much smaller size) for all to see! It's definitely a completely different style - the map itself is one giant slab of engraved steel. Plus, the extra size gave me room to put all the labels in (river names, for instance). I can't wait to have it hanging in my office.

Yes, I finished it and have it currently hanging in my office. In all honesty, it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped which is why I haven't published it here.

I simply love your map. The design is amazing and the layout is near perfection. I'm actually working on creating a novel series based out of a world of my own. Gaining tons of Inspiration from Tolkiens work of course and this map also gives me a lot of ideas on how to really develop my own maps. I've tried working some out but it is a tough process. I'll definitely continue to study over yours and hopefully develop something near as good as it.

That's great! If it helps, this map concept wasn't a quick design - I've been tooling it and refining it for over 5 years. It originally started out as a world map, but once my story developed more, I realized a landscape of that scope was very impractical. Even then, my motivation for making this version was because I had made so many changes since I started, I needed a decent graphic for my own personal reference (location names, distances between towns, etc). I only wish writing was as fun and as quick as graphic design, haha.
