And thanks for asking, I've been doing well. Though where I live we just went through second winter in which we just got a bunch snow that it felt like January just without the extreme cold though at times it felt like winter all over again. But now its starting to feel like spring so that is nice and hopefully the leaves will grow back soon.
Sorry about the lack on content, as I've kind of have been MIA on DA in terms that I have not drawn anything or completed any projects for the last few months. I have mostly been focusing on my writing, however my job working nights at a college has thrown my sleep schedule off for weeks and months and thus it has been a little hard to keep things in balance even though I have been working at the school for nearly two years. But thanks for asking maybe I'll post my draft or do a fund drawing in a few months.

I'm doing okay ! At least better than I have been, been having a lot of backlashes & depressive relapses and things of the sort..I have to go to the doctor but my ID expired, so now I need to wait an entire month before getting my new one..Hopefully someone else can vouche for me so that I can at least see the doctor. I haven't been doing that well. But I think it's slowly starting to turn now, I feel a little better and I'm getting another cat ! So I need to keep my spirits up ~Β I started to take an small art course at a tiny local university, but it wasn't at all what I imagined, so I'm disappointed. I might even go back to studying this time !! I just don't see any other option and I still don't know what I truly want to do. Even though I still truly do want to write my books, but I can't live off of inspiration that hits me twice a year basically. These days my imagination doesn't even have the time to be what it used to be, I despise that, but unfortunately need to live with it for the moment. There's just to many other things in the way at the moment. But one day I'll get there ! <=

Having constant overcast and can get tiring, especially if there is lightning. Where I live as soon as it starts raining I always lose my internet connection though I think it's because I live in a old apartment. Nevertheless I'm excited to see all the leaves turn green and plants bloom.
No worries! Sometimes one of the most enjoyable aspects of DA is the communication and discussions with others.Β
I'll try, I know with the changing weather and with finals coming up work has been a little light as to winter. I work as a night custodian at a Lutheran College. Compared to my old job of working on cars involved in accidents this job is actually pretty fun and has a slower pace so you can take your time. Not to mention most of the time there is only like four to five hours of actual work and that is during a normal day. When school gets out there is hardly nothing to do so at times it feels like you are getting paid just to be there. The Benefits and vacation is extremely great but most of all and perhaps the most rewarding I get to clean the Library, though controversial in my opinion they are always getting rid (Shredding) LOTs of old books and donations they no longer want or are in very bad shape. And thus I was able to build a collection (not all in photo) of books on various topic dating back to the late 1800s to the early 1900s (some from the 50s and 60s) along with a bunch of old sheet music from the same period. Which in a way has inspired my own writing quiet a bit.
Thanks for asking, the writing has been going well though perhaps one of the hardest things I find is that I often have way too many ideas and concepts trying to cram into several books that I end up with a lot of material on the cutting room as I tend to treat every character as if they could have their own story and could live beyond the story being told. One of the biggest predicaments I find myself in is that I cannot tell how close to the actual time period I want to story to take place that it could considered a quasi-historical drama set around the early 20th century... that just happen to have anthropomorphic insects, pulp heroes, giant robots with elements of science fantasy and the mind set of the period. And because of that I'm constantly scrapping huge parts of the story that I've spent months and even years on to re work the concept. Like the version I posted on DA which consisted of like 7 chapters with over 30ish chapters was never completed after decided to scrap it and rewrite the story to be more like the original draft. And thus doing so a lot of research that the story centered on was no longer valid so I had to rework it into the new setting and world. but I think the concept and characters have only grown stronger as a result.
I know its never fun when you sometimes get stuck with writing. Sometimes it always help to have mind exercises where you just think of random ideas for stories that can arrive from anywhere or anything. I never hurts to write down ideas and taking notes. Nothing is worse then having an idea and not writing it down that you might forget it an hour later or go to sleep and cannot remember what you where thinking. Β Β

I know depression comes in all shapes and forms thus its hard to deal with, I know it's not much but I'm here if need anyone to talk to. Its great that you got another cat I hope that it can help lift your spirits. What happened in the art class? Was it one of those classes where you spend time working on contour drawings and studied the principles of lines and color or was it more of a life drawing class.
Nevertheless I hope you can find a creative outlet as it is never fun not being able to express yourself when you have pressing issues looming from jobs, IDs, and other things in life can really build up the stress and depression.
I hope you feel better and thanks again for the talk! As said before it really has been fun talking to you and its great that we have been friends for as long we have been on DA. If I remember correctly it has been for nearly four years since you wanted to me draw one of your characters. Which I would love to give a second go since I have in some respect have gotten better at drawing characters.Β
