Oh, sure thing I am! I am alwyas eager to see a new episode even if I later on do not like it... (though that is rare)
That's sad... I mean, a whole 1,5 year without PnF! D| I mean, how can they do it to us? D8
For one - I just hope I will not be disappointed with the lack of Phineas and most importantly Ferb. I have already seen that even though it is the FlynnFletcher family flying to Africa, Isabella is apparently with them. I don't mind, really, but honestly, it is just as if she was a part of te family already. For crying out loud, does she not have her own HUGE family to spend vacations with?
But apart from my rant, I just hope there would be action, adventure and NO cliche romance. If I see any more hints at Phineas and Isabella being together, I am... well, I will be really disappointed.
But other than that, I just hope it would be something I will enjoy. Something that would amaze me... in a positive way. ^^

I agree, it is rare to find an episode not to like.. thats rare in itself actually...Watching other cartoons theres many episodes that were not that good even if the show is brilliant (Hey Arnold comes to mind, I know there was a few episodes I found a bit boring, but I consider it one of the best toons ever)
I knooooo D: but at least there is the movie next year and I think I heard Dan & Swampy say it takes 6 months to complete an episode...
But even so, its still a staggering amount of time :/

Personally, I'm looking forward to a little Phinabella moment XD cause its cute, but not too much for reasons I've said before lol
Besides, I'm sure there won't be massive changing moments for a VERY long time cause Dan and Swampy did confirm that when something happens, everything SHOULD go back to normal afterwards meaning I don't think Phineas and Isabella will ever properly get together in the show anyway
Although, I'm not so sure about the movie... I mean... its a theatrical movie... probably the biggest moment in the PnF franchise unless there will be another afterwards I guess...and I think Phineas x Isabella is the most popular pairing? So they'd have to hit all strings with the film in some way so it appeals to more people, so any moments in that will probably be bigger than any normal episode and of course they'll be Candace x Jeremy and perhaps Ferb x Vanessa (but I think they've moved passed the little crush joke by now? Just like other been and gone jokes) I guess we'd just have to wait and see about that lol

But again, I do fully agree about Ferb and them all having fun together in a cool adventure C:

This is exactly why I consider PnF to be one of the best cartoons of all ages and dephinitely the best nowadays. It is original, funny, colourful and most of all lacks violence and swearing. Perfect for the entire family, not only children. And most of all, educational and encouraging. Simply a masterpiece. ^^

Well, I imagine it takes them a lot. I mean, the process of digitalizing itself takes a while, let alone the voice-acting and songs... That's a whole lot of work, indeed. But so far, those guys have been doing great! ^^

Well, the idea of Phineas and Ferb revolves around everything being 'in harmony' and 'as it should be' without any major twists. This is the beauty behind it.
Personally I wouldn't like them to be going for the 'popularity polls' and doing something specifically to please the fans. I mean, if they were to listen to all of their fandom, then they would have to change PnF into some cliche soap roamnce opera with no plot at all but some soapy make-you-wanna-throw-up mushy-bushy scenes. Hopefully, they will not do that. As for the pairing-up thing, hell, I do not mind as long as they keep it within the boundaries of sanity. I mean, I dislike the shipping of Phinabella in the show, but what can I do? This is Swampy and Dan producing it, not me. I can only wait and see what they will come up with and either like it or not. Still; Canderemy = okay, but do not focus on them too much; Phinabella = well, if you MUST; Ferbnessa = oh, hell no. Monty with Van, but leave Ferb alone. He is a kid and pairing him with Van is simply... gross. (I take into consideration there are a lot of people who have huge age differences between them, but just no. Not Ferb.)
Besides, Montynessa just fits in the cannon perfectly. A kind of a RomeoJuliet gag. Which I really like. ^^

That is the main point, right? Adventure, fun and friendship. This is what Phineas and Ferb is about. Let alone the songs, dancing and all the colourfull stuff. It will never get boring.

I could not agree more, DEFINITELY WITH OUT A DOUBT one of the BEST cartoons EVER. I LOVE how it does not talk down to children,, I mean... just listen to some of Phineas' dialogue (which I cannot quote XD) or even the songs

How many childrens cartoons do you hear saying things like didactic or Carpe Diam or even Ornithorhynchus anatinus - I even know how to pronounce that now XD

Dan and Swampy are just amazing you know, I've never been the type to get all fan crazy or anything and I never wanted to actually meet anybody, not even any of my favorite singers or actors, but in all honesty, I'd LOVE to meet those two XD and get their autographs .... this is the first time I've ever wanted to go to America to go to Comicon - just to see those two lol

Hey Arnold is amazing <3 even if it does have a lot of adult humor in it XD (actually I kinda like that about 90s toons, no other generation can pull it off well enough,)
And yes, that IS a LOT of work, and Dan and Swampy have their hand in almost all aspects of it which is great, but also time consuming, I guess quality comes at a price..

And I guess they do have to listen to what the fans want to some degree, which is why Phinbella is happening more often I guess otherwise realistically, the show will lose some popularity

Personally, I think Ferbessa is... ok, he just needs to grow up a few years for it to happen romantically (I only mentioned it because its popular and semi-canon as Dan (I think it was Dan) said that they will get together, just not in the show and in quite a few years time when the age thing is not an issue. I do agree with that cause they do seem quite compatible)and honestly, some fans want a mini Vanessa episode which actually I'd like to see how that turns out cause I really like Vanessa, she's cool - I just don't agree on having it solely to have her get together with Ferb XD perhaps to enhance on her FRIENDSHIP with Ferb, not romantic relationship lol
I do like Monty with Vanessa though Its interesting and I want to see how things collide with both sides of the families

And yes, that is the main point as long as its fully entertaining, which most episodes are, then there will not be a problem ^^

So true! In all honesty, this is the most language-sophisticated childern's show on Earth. The songs, the dialogues, everything. I mean, Phineas infamous line from the first episode. It was based on Churchill's quote! I mean, what other cartoon has this? XD Not to mention, the amount of references to the other means of culture like musicals, movies and music. The variety of music gengres used, the costumes! There's NO other show which is so engaged in the cultural and "idactic" subject as PnF. And this is one of those key things that make it so marvelous.

Same here. I have never had somebody famous who I have treated as a 'hero' or a 'mentor' before. But those two guys are just geniuses. If I had the slightest chance to even SEE them (let alone talk with them or get their autograph) I would possibly be the happies person on Earth!

I had my suspicion that it world be, probably beating all children's programmes of every decade, it is truly a blessing when it comes to that, thats for sure! If I was a parent, I'd choose Phineas and Ferb as the 1# parents choice award thing (if it even exists lol) As a teenager/young adult who is planning on having children, this would definitely be VERY high on the list of cartoons to show them and hope they are like me in that aspect (the shows I grew up with stick with me forever, well.. the ones I remember ...soo if they grow up with this, picking up some things from it like Carpe Diam or the basic theme "Don't waste summer doing nothing", then I'd be one happy mummy )

I adore the fact that it uses a range of music genres, my mum said that the reason why I appreciate 50s music is because I grew up with Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw and in that film, has many songs based from 50s songs (some Elvis songs I believe)
Yes the costumes, the constant references, everything, its so that children don't grow up being ignorant to other aspects of culture and to try different things with an open mind... even if the song is from 1955! Theres a chance that its catchy and nice to listen to lol

Admittedly, I did once have a massive crush on Aaron Carter when I was like 10, but it was shallow, I liked his music and I thought he was cute, I didn't even know what he was like, he could have been an arse for all I knew :/ so.. that was the reason why I DIDN'T want to meet him cause I knew my expectation was too high and I was at least smart enough not to think he's a perfect blonde pop god or anything - my view on his music probably would have changed entirely if I met him, but he's a singer, he only performs and shows off, Dan and Swampy worked incredibly hard to be where they are today and thats what I admire about them - its different lol Hard work, creativity and humor is what I admire and they (judging by their interviews) seem like really nice guys
If I met them, I'd probably totally fangasm XD

I knew that Daffy was in some Nazi themed toons, but I didn't know that XD You know, the guy who made Rocko's Modern Life had NO idea how to write for children's shows and had no experience with them? It does not show at all !! /sarcasm/ XD

/but its not as if Disney has not had its let downs, back in the 90s, Pocahontas was the A movie and The Lion King was the B movie, they put everything into Pocahontas and it failed :/ but I stay optimistic about it, I mean... Dan and Swampy are doing it XD/

I know, I know, but some people are just like that... watch it just because of the coupling which I don't think is right, but it happens and they ARE part of the audience weather we like it or not :/
I think that the elements that they do implant to please the audience will be small, small enough not to ruin it, but big enough for it to be there and please them (whatever it may be, a relationship hint or otherwise - a joke maybe)

I take it as a gag too, but I do personally believe they will make a good couple... when they are older of course, (I judge this on the basis of not only does Ferb like her that way, but I seem to remember that she often complained that her boyfriend never listened to her and only ever talked about himself - or something like that - which Ferb will be much better at) right now they can just be who they are and leave it to fanon to create their future so I count this as semi-canon

Indeed! Ever though, that is a king of a paradox, really. See, meanwhile Phineas constantly goes about catching the day and doing something creative, you still have to sit at home before a TV to make him see and heard saying that. |3 This is kind of ironic, isn't it? But, even though, that is definitely a perfect choice for the kids, especially that finding some good sophisticated cartoon without violence and stupidity is like trying to find a needdle in a pile of hay. Not to mention that the Disney Channel itself is filled up with rather stupid sitcoms that do not really convey anything... And are simply time-wasting. (I sometimes call it brainwashing as I watch them out of boredom or in between Phineas and Ferb |3)

That is truly something amazing about PnF and a brilliant idea from Dan and Swampy. Not to mention the melody is catchy, the words are sophisticated and the whole song is put up so that it matches the theme of the episode perfectly. And we can see every character singing, not only the main protagonists. And heck, those voices. The voice cast is brilliant. |3 Couldn't imagine Phineas or Doof with other voice. And heck, Candace? Not speaking about Ferb. I mean, who does NOT gasm when he hears Thomas Sangster saying that long awaited one line of dialugue? XD

Ah, trust me, I tend to create idealized images of people in my head as well. I dunno why - it's kind of subconscious. So that is perfectly understandable. However as much as I probably idolize Dan and Swampy I think my assumptions are not far from truth. |3 Those guys just cannot be bad. I mean, how can the creators of Phineas and Ferb be NOT awesome people? That's completely logic-defying.
(Same here! My high pitched scream would probably shatter all the windows within the range of few meters... XD)

Oh yeah. And to be honest, I blame the technology and internet. With the smses we simply type in a few words and that is all. And most of these are either letter shortcuts or blunt words with no meaning. I seriosuly have a lot of trouble talking to some of my old buddies through a phone becasue, well, they simply do not know what to say. I can rant, but what is the point of me ranting and them listening all the time? I can recite monologues to myself before the screen. Not have to call somebody. When I do that though, I hope for a conversation.

Hmm... The calculations done in the show show clearly that they are 10. But I have always believed them to be 11. Oh, I mean, that is, 11 and 10 respectively for Ferb and Phineas. I don't know why, but I assume Ferb is at least 1 year older than Phineas. He's just... kind of... a bit more mature. |3

I don't mind Tom & Jerry/Looney Toons kinda violence though, but I totally disagree with thinks like ... I don't know what its called but it looked WAY too violent :/
And I agree with that too, Disney Channel is mostly full of...well sorry to be blunt, but...crap... the last Disney show I truly liked was Kim Possible

The voice cast IS something to admire, I mean ... I've judged my assumptions on the interviews I've seen and from what I've read about them
and they are married with children, I'm sure married with children cartoon creators are friendlier than single cartoon creators lol cause they put their 'fatherly energy' into creating a child-friendly and all round good, entertaining, educational and intellectual cartoon

Their official age (besides Isabella) is "less than 15" as they are not going to reveal their ages, but I go by the Boogaloo episode where 30 - 20 = 10, but then its Phineas' birthday during the summer so I think overall that they are all 10/11, Phineas being 11. But I think that both Phineas and Ferb are the same age lol, maybe a few months apart because Dan and Swampy's intentions were to have brothers the same age, but not twins so Ferb cannot be a year older lol, perhaps half a year and he was already 11 by the time Phineas had his birthday?

That's a bit weird, but when I was young I used to laugh at Tom 'n' Jerry. Now, I can't stand it. I dislike the brutal way it is portrayed. Same goes for the Loony Tunes. I don't know why, but as a kid I did not mind. As an adult, I see it was gross and having no sense at all. And this is kinda disappointing, becasue I really liked it as a child.
Never really had the opportunity to watch Kim but I heard that it was indeed good. ^^

Me neither. I don't even have a TV at my place. And I usually have to wait for somebody to upload a video on Youtube to watch something. It's a bit annoying, especially that most of the people who have already seen something just cannot hold it down and throw spoilers around and get excited menawhile I have no idea what is going on and have to politely wait to be able to see what the rave is about. |C

Please, I have been studying (no longer, fuck yeah - I failed) and trust me, half of the things we had during the studies (the vocabulary mostly) were in Phineas and Ferb! I mean, I could watch the cartoon instead of going to the tutorials. Honestly. (maybe this is why I have failed... D|)

They were simply made to be each other's nemesis! ^^ I mean, the gags are funny indeed, and Perry and Doof really fit them. The idea overall was brilliant. They are not like most of the opposing parties - either hating each other or simply neutral. They don't hate each other and they don't love eachother. It's like a different kind of friendship. ^^ And that is the beauty behind it. Doof isn't entirely evil and Perry isn't entirely the hero. They are sipmply well balanced. ^^ And crack pairings! Gee, they do it a lot! I sometimes wonder if they are just trolling us or simpl, you know, not really aware of that... |D

Hah, been reading about Disney once but i honestly do not remember much from it... But yes, the label remained and they are indeeed producing more. But I still would prefer if they focused on quality rather than number.

Anime can be bad, that's true, but there are some really well made ones... Sam goes for manga. But, it also depends on what style it is and what are your preferences. ^^

Me too. It would be boring if we all liked same things and had the same tastes. And this is why I am enjoying this conversation - we can talk freely and we do not diss each other just because we like different things and support different points of view. I mean, is there even a reson to diss people? That's stupid. It has no sense.
And yes... Arguements. Honestly, have people forgotten how to talk? I have already been terribly disappointed with a few people I really thought well off becasue of the behaviour they have shown... I have honestly no idea. I like to go by the Boogaloo episode as well, although not even the official data is going to change my ompression that Ferb is older. I don't know, it just... fits. XD I know I am being a hypocrite here, but somehow I really like to believe that if, then Ferb was already 11 when Phineas' Birthday happened. Oh, and if we are already here... Have you noticed that Ferb has been kind of... completely ommited in that episode? I mean... Remember the speech Phineas gave at the end? The camera showed his friedns and all... Everybody, but not Ferb. I mean... How does THAT work? (ah, my inner Ferb fangirl is scremaing... )

Personally, I still love Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons, I think its great - but I think they are one off things, my exceptions if you will (like with Wolfrenstein 3D, I HATE shoot em up games and I'm not really a gamer anyway, but I don't mind playing that once a rare blue moon - I think its cause the graphics are shit. lol they just are XD its not AS violent as newer games as it came out in like, 1994? so its pretty limited anyway and I grew up with it soo...)
Really? Never seen Kim Possible? You know, Phineas and Ferb is sorta like a cross between Kim Possible and Jimmy Neutron (my reason for watching it in the first place) so I think you may like it - its possible lol

I did an essay on them in college, they started to do a lot of direct-to-video stuff and as much as I like a lot of them (Lion King 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, the two sequels to The Brave Little Toaster etc) I think their quality could have been much better, but then again Disney is much better at animating than most, if not all other 2D studios, so I don't think it matters all THAT much...

Well, they are still great compared to the Happy Three Friends… I mean, who the HELL came up with such an idea? D8 It’s not only gross but simply horrifying! D| (Ah games. Nope. I rarely watch TV and unfortunately I don’t have Disney Channel either and never had the opportunity to watch it. Neither did Jimmy Neutron. But I do hope to watch a few episodes in the future, just to know what it’s about and stuff. ^^

Watched Cardcaptor Sakura and Tokyo MewMew once and it was really good, too. ^^ I liked the magic in it ;D

Ahh I see, I think thats because Dan and Swampy got the idea of creating the characters in an unusual style from Matt Groening as Matt always said that when you create a character, make it recognizable through their shadow
You know, Phineas and Ferb, Hey Arnold and The Simpsons are all related through both their unusual art style but they are all connected somehow. Dan and Swampy worked on The Simpsons and also got tips of art styles through it and Craig Bartlett is married to Lisa Groening, Matt's sister (who was the one to suggest that Helga had a crush on Arnold)
This is why all the cartoons have unusual shaped characters ^^

And I was JUST like that XD against it just because it was 1, new and 2, a remake of a childhood cartoon (which usually turn out bad) but then I decided to give it a go just because Lauren Faust did it as she helped to animate Sawyer in Cats Don't Dance and... I Love that film XD Thats what I started with to research animators

I agree with that XD but I don't think its 'sick' well... it is depending... err... ok its not sick (but totally embarrassing) when its real people, but it is sick when you draw porn of young characters... (Rugrats for example... yes. There is Rugrat porn. I have seen it. I did not like it. It scared me.)

That kind of idea is great. There's no point in making a character not recognizable. It's a fail then. A good chara takes a lot more than just cool name, cool personality and, well, cool design. |3

Well, it also depends on the way it it presented... I know there is a lot of art that can be considered porn, but is actually done really, really well. But then, the is the regular porn where people just... ugh. To be honest, I despise most of the Phinerb I see here. Simply because half of it is either crappy, blunt or anime - which I hate.

I would not go as far as saying his lines are the best part of the show, but I definitely like them XD

In all honesty, I find the older generations somewhat bland even though I like a few of the episodes which is probably either pure nostalgia as they were the ones I actually grew up with (they were never on TV and I only had a couple of videos) or the fact that I cannot stand watching more than a few episodes cause all of the characters seem the same
BUT I love the them music, especially one certain ending song and the My Little Pony Tales opening theme lol
I also had a few ponies (Gen 2 I believe I had?) The ones from the middle - late 90s then I think the Gen 3 fat ones and some of the McDonald's toys lol
But I do love Friendship is Magic cause they really did the series justice and all the characters are easy to tell apart because of the wide range of personalities ^^
And the music, Pinkie Pie's Smile is awesome lol
And I also agree on the villains, I really like Discord too

Agreed with that. Simpsons were surely one of the biggest revolutionary series in the history of animation. Witty, not boring and definitely had that something about them. |3

At first I was really hesitant about trying to watch MLP... But then, one person sent me Pinkie Pie's song and my curiosity was triggered... Well, I am refering to the profesional art here. Some photography where your attention does not go to the nude parts, but you just admire the light, the pose and the idea. Oh, and I am not talking about the nude pics here, I mean all of those where certain parts of clothing are missing, but where the author finds a subtle way to hide/conceal them. I just hate bluntness and exposition of body parts for the sake of exposing them. It's just sick.

I have nothing against anime, but I have against people who apply that style to PnF. For me it's just pointless, not to mention those characters do not look like PnF anymore. *shrug* But that is my point of view.

Oh for God sake, THAT 'art' -_- no. Thats not art, thats porn and camera whores ... Ok, SOME are art depending on how good they are and how they have been done and the style used, most are just crude and nasty (and the only ones I've seen are the Daily Deviations :/ )

I do prefer that people apply the original style to the cartoon when they draw them, but I have seen some anime pictures of cartoons before that are actually really good and interesting ^^
