With regards to the client using your logo. I know exactly how you feel. The first time I saw two of the Griffin Ryderz screaming past me with their colors on was an awesome day.

Yeah that piece is in my gallery here. It's the black and white griffin. There's a shot of the guys from the club with the actual patch tucked in the corner. You can't miss it. Those guys were so incredibly grateful for what I did for them. Great guys. They came into the shop where I'm apprenticing and presented me with a framed patch and the whole club signed it and then one by one they each came up and gave me a thank you and a big old hug. 8 huge bikers. I thought I was dreaming. I was completely humbled. They even made a point to tell me they were giving me the first patch produced.
As far as the page views I dunno. I don't really network here all that much. I also have only been uploading art since last spring despite being a member for a few years. I didn't think my work was good enough in relation to some of the stuff I see in here. I finally started putting work up and thanks to wonderful comments and the awesome people such as yourself taking the time to leave them I no longer have such doubts. I do get alot of favorites but every once in a while I get someone...again like yourself...who leaves a really nice comment and trust me its better than a million page views. As you may have noticed I only see how good I WANT to be, not how good I may or may not be now. As an artist yourself you can probably relate. I do have to say that I recently uploaded a Statue of Liberty piece that I'm quite proud of which is rare for me. It's very big for a pencil piece and it took me a very long time. It's hanging in the shop and has gotten ALOT of attention there but I haven't received a single comment in here. So yeah.. I guess this site does have me scratching my head now and then.
As far as artists who do the depth thing well I hafta say Caravaggio came to mind first. He's one of the first to do such dramatic things with light and shadow and still in my opinion the best. You can't ever go wrong studying the work of the old masters.

Thanks! It is always encouraging to hear things like that. The Provo Beach Resort logo is my favorite. It was actually used by the company for their business. They advertise a lot, so it is always weird seeing my logo on banners at football games or on the side of a bus.
