You say you're not a National Socialist, nor do you appear to agree with the goals of genocide or the attitude of anti-semitism...

What precisely is it that you respect about the Third Reich, then? The attempt to build and restore national pride after crushing defeat? The charismatic leadership that entranced a whole country?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or pick a fight, but I'm curious as to what it is you refer to.

Everyone loves a charismatic leader...

I guess it was the idea of restoring a crushed and humiliated nation back to its former glory, and to a certain level Hitler succeeded. He brought them out of debt, out of recession, he rebuilt the army and air forces so the people felt safer again.

If he kept it at that, Germany would have recuperated so much faster.

However Hitler used Germany and his position of power for his own personal agenda which led to both the downfall of Germany and Hitler, and i don't agree with that because Hitler's dead; he doesn't have suffer abuse thrown at him while Germany has to live with that tarnished reputation.

I can respect that. Actually, I have to agree, he did succeed somewhat, as nobody can deny he did restore a lot of glory and success. Pity his own agenda, as you said, did get in the way. It would interesting to see how history would have judged them had that attitude not been prevalent.
