Yes, I am all good, how about you?
Just lots of work and no time to get to my club duties. You've been on it, and doing a terrific job. Every time I get in there to help you have already done it, so that's why you haven't seen me participate lately. I was able to do about 15 entries last night after you left. Thank you for picking up the slack! I appreciate it!
But no worries, I won't leave you here working by yourself, I am planning to come back in full force soon.
Thanks

Hi. Love your work. Do you mind if artists use some of the 3D anatomical work for references?

Thank you so much for your kind words! I appreciated them very much!
I attended an art school here in the US, but to be honest with you I don't think you necessarily need to attend an art institution to learn this stuff.
Today the internet, specially sites like YouTube and Vimeo are filled with excellent tutorials that can teach you about anatomy.
The problem with art schools is that they tend to be very expensive, and unless you are lucky and very good, you will find that getting a job afterwards is very hard. I am not saying it's impossible, but is very difficult, and making good money doing it is even harder. Getting your education through the internet is inexpensive and almost just as good. As a matter of fact I've learned a lot of my techniques by watching tutorials in YouTube and Vimeo.
There are many books in the subject that deal with anatomy for artist. Actually I would have to say that books is where I learned most of what I know now. Artistic Anatomy, by Dr. Paul Richer; Human Anatomy For Artists, by Eliot Goldfinger; and Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist, by Stephen Rogers Peck are indispensable, and a must have for anybody serious about drawing or modeling the human anatomy believably and correctly. I hope this helps!

Your work is super good!
Might i ask how you learned what you know today?
I would like to learn 3d modeling like you but i am having trouble finding the right courses/tutorials.

Thank you so much!
To answer your question: I went to art school, but I also watched many online tutorials and read many books in the subject. And last but not least, lots of practice!! I wrote about at length on the post above yours, so you may want to take a look at it for a more in depth answer.
Finding the right courses or tutorials can be overwhelming, but the best thing you can do, is start with the basics. Choose your tutorials based on the software you want to use, and the kind of modeling you want to get into (Organic, Hard-surface, environmental, low-poly, etc). Start with tutorials for beginners, which will teach you the basics, and then go from there. Practice, discipline and dedication is what will make you into a good 3D modeler. Thanks again!

Hey man, thanks for letting me know! It is unfortunate that some people have to resort to doing stuff like this. I plan to give him some hell, although I don't think there's much I can do about it. FB won't give a shit!
Thanks again!

Alright, so I have to do this intake assignments and they asked me to model a bike on Maya, I'm more used to sculpting and I have never used Maya. I looked for all kinds of tutorials but I can't seem to get some things right. Like the spokes on a bicycle, after creating one spoke, how do I move the vector from the object, and duplicate them in a circle like this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VqTCc⦠at 2.15 minutes.
English isn't my native language, I wish I could explain things better. I have 23 days left and it's quite frustrating that things won't work out as I want them to be. I am so happy that you replied and I hope you can help me out.

Hey I'm looking for 3D artists for a project I'm a part of, and word around the campfire is you're the person to talk to. Would you be willing to spread the word about this in your 3D art group for me? The info is located at mjolnirsoftware.com/help-wanteβ¦
