Hey there! did you attend millard south high school? I saw your deviation regarding the school shooting 4 years ago. unfortunately that's all that comes up on the web about our school. I also think it's coincidentally funny that our names are both kelly! Just thought I'd look up millard south for fun and I found your deviation.

No, but I was looking up different ribbon meanings and that was one. I'm sorry if you attended the school! The shooting sounds like it was a horrific event.

Yes, it was pretty scary. we had a district wide shutdown and everybody was going into what we called code red. My brother was attending south and it was his sophomore year. I wasn't in the school at the time, but it affected all of us. Since then, we've amped up our security, and our drug dog goes around more often. anyway, it was cool to see that here on dA. Now that it's 2014, the last kids who were part of that experience are graduating. The only thing that saddens me is that the only thing people recognize south for is the shooting. We are still one of the top schools in the country though, and we have very strong school pride, so it will hopefully fade into the background after another 10 years or so.
