Hey Girl!
Forget all I wrote about the camera kit's details. I only scanned your message and thought you were asking about a Digital setup.
The camera kit I mentioned at lunch, is a Minolta XD5, SLR it's a 35mm film camera. It is quite ancient (about 30 years). But it has three modes, shutter priority, aperture priority, and manual. It is in good operating condition with several lenses in the kit: a 28mm macro, a 45mm standard, a 100mm portrait and two zoom lens, 28 - 80 and 80 - 300. The kit has an electronic flash, several filters (each lens has a sky filter for protection) and several other items.
It would work for a photography class but why don't you check with your professor and see if it is too old technically wise. You can use it as long as you want, I was going to E-Bay it a while back but didn't get too that. I can ship it if you need it quick. I have the one price express mail boxes that are fairly cheap. Let me know what he says.

Teri;
My setup is a Sony DSLR a350 with a 300mm Zoom lens. The kit has 3 batteries, a Vertical Grip / Shutter Assembly plus some extras.
If I lone it to you, how long would you have to keep it? It is my main camera.
Let me know if it will suit and when Gray might pick it up.

I would need it for the semester, so until around the 8th of dec. ... Gary is coming down not this weekend but the following. I can find out from him when and if. I still have to double check with my dad to see if he's actually going to give me his first. I should know by this weekend and I'll let you know ^^. ty

Would you by chance have one of those, if so I'll see if gary can pick it up and drive it down if you would rather not mail it ... if this is ok, THANK YOU ^^

Thanks for the Comment!
Birds are a fairly easy target when you have a feeder.
But, they can be flitty (as in fly)

I hope I've translated your comment right. If so, I should say "Your Welcome!"
Or if not, maybe "Thank You"
is.

Hey too!
Things are about the same (pain). I'm taking some shots and missing others.
How with you? Also, where are you getting your shots?
