Thank you for the 0f Flare of the Icy Mandala
Maybe you would appreciate my Chaotic series of fractal articles (<- click) if you have a little theoretical interest
Regarding deep zooms in the Mandelbrot set, if you check out my deviation Cauliflowerfort and click the link under "Artist's Comments", from page 4 you can follow the entire zoom sequence in 28 steps
In this journal you have some links to cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube
.. and from the middle of the nineties there is a fantastic TV program about fractals, Colors of Infinity by Arthur Clarke Really beautiful soundtracks by Pink Floyd

Welcome to dA!
I really did enjoy the video you did. I and some others were just a little miffed at no credits at the end. But, you picked some really beautiful images from some of the best fractal artists on dA (IMHO).
I was going to ask you if you wanted some pointers on learning how to make you own fractals. But, I see you have made a few yourself. Are you looking for more software or are you happy with what you are using now?
If I can be of any assistance to you in learning how to make fractals, I will be happy to help.
I always like meeting new people particularly if they are interested in fractal art!

Hello!
Thank you for your kind words.
Actually it's the two of us making Fractalgasm, (to set things clear) and believe it or not it all started (our love of fractals) somewhere with your art when my friend Bernard got a framed version of one of your fractals from his (now ex) girlfriend as a birthday present!)
He studies programming engineering and I study desktop publishing & art so we are really looking into this deeper and finding that this is a next level visionary art-form, it opens up so many possibilities .. we understand that this is a small closed community and honestly don't want to disturb, but people must know about this!!
And yes, we are already making our own stuff on Mandlebulb,UF, Apo but quite shy about showing them and would ReALLY like to learn a lot & lot more so we would be very glad if we could learn from the master(s) ! Show us resources, tutorials, anything! It will be hugely appreciated!! We are learning we want to learn and of course that we want to make our own stuff as well !

What a great reply! Well, the two of you are doing a wonderful thing, you just needed to go about it a little differently. But, I am so glad it was my art that kind of opened the door to the wonderful world of fractals. And you're right about the potential of fractal art and the infinite variety that exists. A lot like nature.
But yes, I will be happy to point you in the direction of some useful links. I find 's gallery a great place to go. Check out the tutorial section on UF and Apo - VERY useful and quite informative for learning the software and how to make particular styles. There are also lots of scripts for APO and parameter packs (formula files for images) for both Apo and UF. As far as MDB3D, try . They have a good collection of tutorials and parameters. It's not very active of late. I am one of the co-hosts of the group.
I can add more later but right now I have to go to work. But, I'm delighted to welcome you and your friend (whatever your names are) and I hope you enjoy your fractal journey. I have found it exhilarating at times and always fun!
Have a great day!
