Things went down for Earl, during his 'reunion' with his father, Hades [Saint Seiya Version]. He sees that Hades desires humankind's destruction, does not care, and does not love, which is different from his mortal form, when he was raising his six children, Earl included, which his five siblings have already been long dead. Then, he rages up, but collects himself when this happens.

"…Alright then. Since you are this empty, careless deity…"

Earl’s aura disappears in a instant and the intense heat goes up around his body. He turns away from Hades and starts to walk off.

"You are no longer what I call 'Father' and you are considered dead to me. Tell my Mother what I said. I am not coming back here, until I die, as it is one of the rules of life, and death. Also, in the loveless state you are in, you will NOT be allowed to see my children, my grandchildren, so on and so forth. But, it is not like you will care for your grandchildren. And… I will make sure that even my grandfather, Cronus, knows what went down in our reunion. He does not like it when he hears that his grandchildren has shed tears. I hope you think about that. Goodbye… Forever…”
