yep... I'm only 2 chapters in tho xp. Classes for us don't start till a week after school starts (it's a long story... lol), so I should be okay.

no no, we still have to go to school. We have a week called "Writing and Thinking Workshop." It's a week of reading interesting stuff that doesn't necessarily relate to our classes... and then thinking, writing, and discussing all sorts of things. We don't get our class schedules till the last day of the workshop. (Toldya it was a long story...

Oh, that sounds rather interesting... though the fact that you get your schedules afterward is fairly annoying I would think. But, that sounds like a fun thing to do. Brooklyn tech is too big to do something on that sort! They would confuse themselves. xD

My guess is it also gives them a bonus week to DO our schedules. Our school's so small that the organization in doing schedules is lacking... (but who cares when you get to choose your courses in 11th and 12th grade?) It is pretty interesting

Lol, what a clever (and sneaky) way to make your schedules. Hm, it's lacking? You would think that in a small school it would be better since there are less students there... oh well. Choosing your own course? Hm, how do you know what to choose from?

Well there are still requirements. you still have to take a certain number of history, math, science, literature, language, and art classes by the end of senior year. But there's a list of classes and we signed up last June... all that remains is to see if we actually got any of the classes that we wanted/signed up for xp. (I got cheap polymer clay to play with recently and IT'S AWESOME! You can get the cheap stuff for >$2.50 per block

Oh, well that makes a lot of sense. What happens if you don't get into the classes you wanted though? You don't graduate I would assume.

yeah but copics are soooo expensive. A small block of clay is less expensive than one copic! (The brands I'm using: Sculpey III and Fimo. In any crafts store.) The person I asked about this stuff replied with this:

Sculpey is a brand of polymer clay. Polymer clay is actually a compound made from plastics. You can buy it at most major craft stores (Hobby Lobby, JoAnnes, Micheals)

As for classes, someone checks your schedule to make sure that you'll get enough credits to graduate. Also, if you don't get what you want... well, you just deal with whatever fits into your schedule. *teardrop*

Yeah, i knooow... but they're so wonderful... I can get a job and save some money, ya know? Hmm, but I'm not really interested in sculpting/clay.
And yup, polymer is plastic i believe. I can't really remember my chemistry too well but I believe that plastic is a polymer.
Hm. That's nice. At least someone comes around and makes sure you'll have enough of the credits to graduate. SO that's a plus.

i'm pretty sure most kids at my school would deffinately NOT graduate HS otherwise. that would be so hilarious tho, you have to admit. "ACH I THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD NOTICE THAT I'M NOT TAKING GYM--- nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
And yeah, polymer's a plastic. It also only takes like 15 minutes to bake or something! And I'm not really into scultping either but jewlery munchkins I like

Nah, if we can't take a class (usually because it won't fit in our schedules), we take it the next semester. Which sucks b/c then you have to take more classes at the same time *sniffle*
And, unfortunately, I didn't make the munchkins. I want to learn how to tho ^.^ The designs pretty simple, so hopefully not too hard...?
