i couldn't go to the CP meeting 'cause my classes ended at 5pm and i was hungry... T__T Plus i wanted to go to the UTAMA (anime club) meeting at 6... >_<; so much stuff to do and so little time.... are you in any Anime Clubs here? ^^

Don't worry, now that I've told you this, you'll expect life to be that way... it's always better to be pleasantly surprised than gravely disappointed, right _^_ ?

I'm not in any Anime Clubs @ U, unfortunately... I didn't even know about UTAMA until this year! What do they do exactly?
Before this I only knew UTARPA, and I think they mostly just showed animes anyway. There are already enough anime fans (including 3 con cosplayers XD) in Crumpled Paper for me to share my enthusiasm with, and our prez is always reminding us not to let the anime side overrule the magazine ! Not that I'm complaining...

Talking about anime, what is your fav anime/manga, then? Unfortunately I haven't read too many of Kaori Yuki's works and I've only seen one of Yun Kouga's artbooks before...

lol XD yeah Crumpled Paper does seem to be muchly anime oriented! I'm very looking forward to the next issue! ^^ Hmm UTAMA is like UTARPA i think. Ppl go to the meetings to read manga, draw, eat chips and watch anime. Haha XD
Oooh i have a lot of favs in anime/manga... right now my fav. manga is "Loveless" by Yun Kouga. The art is sooo good.... *___* i'd definitely recommend it if you like Yun Kouga's style.

Indeed... one problem I had with my highschool anime club was that people who don't like drawing would hesitate to join, but it wasn't as fun to only watch anime and read mangas every meeting either... It's hard to balance ~_~

I mostly read mangas... now follows One Piece, Death Note, and Fullmetal Alchemist. But then in general, it's hard to find one that blows me away completely... Level E by Togashi Yoshihiro and Yamada Taro Monogatari by Ai Morinaga are pretty good. For some reason the mangas that stay in my head are all hilariously funny ones ^_^. In terms of art style, I really like Yumiko Kawahara and Reiko Shimizu's works. And Takeshi Obata has excellent framework and extremely detailed backgrounds.

Oh btw, I came across this when I was trying to search for English information on Yamada Taro Monogatari... Didn't know about it since I read the mangas in Chinese... You can take a look at it if you have time ^^|| (Time... Sleep... luxuries, I'd say @__@)

oh thank you for the link!! XD I visited the page but the art style doesn't particularly appeal to me, and for me, the art counts about 80% of my enjoyment of the manga x_x;
