Hi!
I know it's been a while since we last talked. I hope everything is going well for you. And did you see the season finale of The Walking Dead? I had so many feels at the end. God. I nearly cried.
Anyway, I know I'm a few months behind in finding this out, but have you heard about Disney having Linda Woolverton to pen a sequel to the 2010 Alice in Wonderland? Apparently info regarding the plot is under wraps, but I'm assuming Alice will be returning to Underland again. I don't know how to feel about the sequel, especially since I have mixed feelings on the first one. What do you think about it?

Oh god.
No.
No.
No.
I don't want a sequel to that movie. We need an American McGee's Alice movie!
And yes, I did see the Walking Dead finale. I cried but I was also a bit annoyed by the finale. It seemed so anti-climatic to me. But I think part of it is because I started reading the comics and the prison raid is WAY more intense in the graphic novel. And more people die. Like, people that we actually get to know.
So yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with it. I still think the first part of season 3 was way better. and that episode where Axel died

I know how you feel about the sequel. I was hoping Disney would be smart and leave the film as a stand-alone piece. But then, again, I can't say that I'm all that surprised, considering how Disney just loves money and milks their films for all they're worth. :\
And I totally agree withy you on an American McGee's Alice movie. We seriously need an adaptation of that, instead of a sequel to the 2010 film.
I also understand where you're coming from about season three's ending being a bit anti-climatic. I half-expected Hershel and a few of the others to die. I also expected the Governor to die. I confess I didn't see Andrea's death coming, especially since she's still alive in the graphic novel. I almost cried, though, and that was on account of Michonne crying and promising to stay with Andrea till the end. God. That scene nearly tore me to pieces. The rest of the episode was just...meh. I loved the Daryl/Carol scene at the beginning, though. I don't know if they love each other, see each other only as siblings, or what. I just love how close they've become, and how important they are to each other. It also appears that Rick has returned from Crazy Town. I have a feeling that that's the last we'll probably see of ghost!Lori. Except for pictures. The same can be probably also be said for Shane.

Yeah, I thought maybe Hershel was going to die. I wasn't expecting Andrea to die either or rather, I expected someone else to die in addition to maybe her. Only because from what I've heard, Andrea wasn't really a favorite this season so it was kind of weird to have a character people didn't know how to feel about die but then no one else people actually care about live.
I don't know, it just seemed a bit off. But that's probably because I really wasn't fond of Andrea this season.

xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2013-04-07 00:25:54 +0000 UTC]
I love Hershel, but I was afraid they'd kill him off. I'm so glad the writers haven't yet; I want him to see Glenn and Maggie marry. That would make me so happy! ^.^ As for Andrea, she annoyed me a little, with her choosing sides with the Governor over Michonne and the group. I understood her motivation in trying to save everyone. I really do. I was sad to see her go. I think I would've been sadder, though, if it had been Michonne or Carol or someone else who died instead.
I wonder where season four will go. How do you feel about Tyrese? I really am beginning to like his character!
π: 0 β©: 1
LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2013-04-07 00:59:51 +0000 UTC]
I'm hoping Tyrese ends up being a goddamn badass. I also see him as somewhat of a conflict for Rick because as it currently stands, Tyrese might be a better leader.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2013-04-08 19:52:18 +0000 UTC]
Yes! Tyrese would be a big badass, especially if he became leader. He, along with Hershel, seems to be one of the few people who still has his senses about him. I really do like Tyrese.
And I understand that you despise the potential of an Alice sequel; but, from what I've read of this article, this film might very well be a flop:
[link]
Seriously. If Johnny Depp doesn't return, I don't see a sequel doing as well as its predecessor. And from what I can tell of the plot, it looks like Alice is getting tired of the real world again. Surprise. Surprise. The story will apparently feature elements from Through the Looking Glass. Yeah. I wonder if this film series will end up being a duology instead of a trilogy, since Lewis Carroll didn't write a third book.
The only thing I can see coming from that is Alice being made a queen herself, which I've always suspected would happen if Disney decided to make a sequel. :\ As for a love interest, if Johnny Depp said that Alice and the Hatter have a brother-sister relationship, then I suspect the White Knight might be brought into the picture as a potential love interest. In a way, I really wouldn't mind that, actually. I still prefer the Hatter, though.
As for Disney going all live-action on its classic animated films, have you heard about Cinderella. I didn't know Disney was making that as well. o.0;

I didn't know they were making a Peter and the Starcatchers. That actually sound pretty interesting assuming they don't screw it up.
I have no doubt they may screw it up though.

That was news to me, as well. But, knowing Disney's track record, they probably will screw it up.
Oh, and by the way, The Hunchback of Notre Dame finally has a special edition that comes with three discs; however, there is no new material whatsoever. >.< Its one saving grace is that it has one disc which comes in HD. That might be the only reason for whether or not I'll get it. I'm soooo disappointed that there are no deleted scenes or anything.

xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2013-04-11 01:24:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. The 3-disc special edition is just a fusion of the old DVDs, with the addition of the original being in HD. I also believe Disney's doing the same for Mulan and Mulan II this year. I probably won't end up getting the latter since my sister already has those on DVD, and I can borrow them from her.
Still, though, I can't help but be disappointed.

I'm rarely into anything Disney anymore. I liked Brave well enough, but I'm a little skeptical on Frozen's story. And I don't know what to think of their take on Maleficent yet. :/
π: 0 β©: 1
LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2013-05-03 22:48:03 +0000 UTC]
I wasn't that fond of Brave and yeah, I think Frozen has got some serious story issues going on. I mean, they hired the co-writer of Wreck It Ralph to co-direct around November/December and the movie comes out this year. I take that as a bad sign.
I'm not even going near Maleficent.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2013-05-04 00:27:55 +0000 UTC]
Oh, wow, I didn't know that about Frozen. If they have someone coming in that late into production, then it's probably a bad sign, I agree. I just hope they don't demonize the Snow Queen. >.<; I cannot help but feel sorry for her in Anderson's story.
I saw some photo stills of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent and I really can't go there, either. I think I'll just stick to watching something like Catching Fire. It's about one of the only movies I want to see this year.
π: 0 β©: 1
LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2013-05-04 23:36:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah there is also a supposed leak of the Frozen character designs and I got to be honest I'm not impressed. The Protagonist looks like Rapunzel's clone and the Snow Queen looks like the new winter fairy from the Tinkerbell movies. Like, I just legit do not know what to say. Based on the content of the original story, I don't understand how you could screw it up.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2013-05-08 01:29:28 +0000 UTC]
I took a look at those character photos from Frozen, and I second your dislike of the designs. I saw comments from other people online who were making fun of the similarities between Anna and Rapunzel. Even their facial structure is similar. >.<; If anything, they could've given her coppery-colored hair or something, just to differentiate her from other CGI heroines. The Snow Queen's appearance was...unimpressive...to say the least. I've personally always loved this animated design of her:
[link]
At least in this version she looks regal and queenly. :\
Disney's becoming a bit too predictable.

xxCorseted-Victimmm [2012-09-18 00:02:28 +0000 UTC]
Hey!
So, I just found out about these from my sister:
[link]
Your thoughts?
π: 0 β©: 1
LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2012-09-19 01:48:24 +0000 UTC]
I've actually known about them for a while. At first, I was considering Mother Gothel and Cruella. But then I found out how much the price increased and decided if I get any of them, it's just going to be Cruella.
Still haven't decided if I'm getting her or not.
I also don't like the fact that Ursula is skinny. I don't like the Queen of Hearts is skinny either but Ursula bothers me more. Mainly because if they needed to make her skinny because of the molding, why the hell didn't they just make Venessa? It would have been cooler anyway....now she just looks like her stupid sister from the Disney sequel that I will pretend doesn't exist.
XD
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2012-09-21 20:22:33 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I'm with you on Cruella; she's my favorite out of the set. And I totally agree on the price hike. Disney increased the dolls to 13,000, but the price has jumped, which I just don't get. o.0; It wouldn't surprise me if Disney just wants to milk these dolls for all they're worth. >.<;
The good thing is that, so far, there aren't any fights at the Disney Store. Mom ended up getting the Evil Queen, since she liked her best. Heather picked the doll up for her, late in the day, and the store still had some left. They also had Maleficent, too. The Evil Queen is pretty; she's gotten that haughty, arrogant look like she had in the film. But I really need to see the rest of them in person. I haven't been to the Disney Store yet!
The skinny Ursula is something else, isn't she? I don't know why, but I really just didn't care for her design all that much. I didn't really like Maleficent's, either. Their sketches are beautiful, but the dolls...sadly not so much. And, yes, they could've just gone with Vanessa. The skinny Ursula just doesn't look right, and she does look like her sister. A lot. I thought that myself when I saw her. I'm okay with the Queen of Hearts, but I can pass on her. Really, I'm with you on getting Cruella...if I decide to get her, that is. I have the Glen Close version, and I'd love to have an animated one...but the price. Maybe if I get in some more subbing days. That's about a day's worth of work, so I don't know...
Honestly, though, I like the concept of having a designer collection based on the villains, but why couldn't they have just used some of the guys? Really, I would've gotten Shan Yu without question.
π: 0 β©: 1
LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2012-09-22 20:11:05 +0000 UTC]
I'm hoping they do the guys next. But I doubt it. Only because I think Disney thinks people will be less inclined to buy the male dolls. I hope I'm wrong though.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2012-09-30 12:54:29 +0000 UTC]
It would be awesome if they did the guys, but I also feel as you do about people's interest in them. While they are well-liked and everything, I don't think they're quite as popular as the princesses. I think we're lucky to just get the basic ones at the Disney store. Heather and I were talking about that last night, and she said that maybe Disney will consider it if the Designer Villains line does well, which I'm not for sure is, since they're still available on the site.
I did end up getting one. I was going to get Cruella; but, when I saw her in person, I really didn't care for her as much as I did when I saw her online. But then I saw Maleficent and I made my decision. I ended up getting her instead. She's probably the only one I'll get, but I think she's amazing. I just love almost everything about her. And, yes, Ursula is just...no. I saw her and I thought she looked terrible. :\ I think this version is so much better, honestly:
[link]
She's also cheaper, too. But, yes, which Designer Villain is your personal favorite?

I looked at them again today. I love Cruella's sketch; she reminds me so much of a geisha. They didn't have the lithographs anymore, though. I'm not for sure if I'd get Cruella, either. I just wanted one of them. XD Have you seen Mother Gothel in person? She reminds me so much of Megara. o.0;

LoyalSubject In reply to xxCorseted-Victimmm [2012-09-30 22:39:28 +0000 UTC]

xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2012-10-03 00:24:58 +0000 UTC]
That's strange that they didn't have her on display. Hmmm...Maybe they forgot to put her out with the others or something? But, yeah, even my sister said she looks Greek. I think it's her dress and how her hair is done up.
Oh, and speaking of Mother Gothel, I also saw a basic twelve-inch Rapunzel wedding doll --- the brunette version --- there. She's really cute; I'm so glad Disney finally decided to make her! ^.^

Hey!
Here are the links to Zack and Aerith's profiles:
[link]
[link]
[link]
[link]
There are two different profiles for each, although both mostly mention something about what Zack and Aerith were/are to each other.
And here is the quote from the end of AC/ACC:
βThe place where he awakensβ
That is Cloudβs Promised Land
As he sleeps, Cloud hears two voices. The voices of two people very dear to him, who are no longer with him. Playfully and kindly, they give him a message: he doesnβt belong here yet.
When he awakes, there was his friends. There were the children, freed from their fatal illness. Tifa and Marlene, and Denzel asking for Cloud to heal his Geostigmaβ his family were waiting. Engulfed in celebration, he realises where he is meant to live. He realises that he was able to forgive himself.
And when he turns aroundβ βsheβ is starting to leave. Together with the friend who had given Cloud his life. Cloud no longer has to suffer in lonelinessβ¦ And so they too go back to where they belong.
Back to the current of life flowing around the planetβ.β
There's the quote from Squall_of_SeeD's "Love Triangle Debate Analysis," which is a very good article on the whole thing. But, yes, just let me know if you have any trouble with the links or anything. The profiles made me go "Awww" a few times!
And I love your webcam picture, by the way. Did you take it yourself?

I know. And to think, that she would still be hung up on Cloud with Zack "always by her side" bothers me in so many ways. >.<; Surely she's aware that Tifa loves Cloud, and also what Zack went through in getting back to her...
I've always been one for Cloud/Tifa, but I'm beginning to believe that I actually like Zack/Aerith a little more than them now.
And I'm glad the links worked. I actually forgot to send you "Case of Lifestream: White/Black," so here's a link to that:
[link]
It's not a very long read, but the whole koibito translation thing caused a lot of trouble on the site. o.0;
And that is so cool that you took a picture of a live fawn. I've only seen them in person once or twice; it's just so rare to see them. It's so cute, though! I can't believe it was just laying there like that.

and yeah i looked up after the fact that fawns that are only a few days old will sit in the grass during the day and wait for their mothers. they tend to not move even if someone approaches them.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2012-06-22 03:10:32 +0000 UTC]
I agree. I prefer the bios, as well. Aerith's ACC profile came out around the same time as "Case of Lifestream: White/Black," I believe. The whole "always by her side" thing really sounds like Zack's there for her, no matter what. And maybe she hadn't reunited with him at that point when she came across Sephiroth. It's really vague on that point, so it's left open for interpretation, I guess. I've also been reading up on whether or not "Maiden" is considered canon. Some people believe it still is, while others don't. "Case of Lifestream: White/Black" seems to be a bit of a revision of it, though.
And I didn't know that about fawns. I came across a pair with their mother when I was driving on the backroads one day. They're so adorable, though. I love their spots!

either way: whatever. if zack and aerith have to be a 'crack' pairing, then so be it.
π: 0 β©: 1
xxCorseted-Victimmm In reply to LoyalSubject [2012-06-28 14:09:06 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. But, really, from what I've read online, apparently Zack/Aerith are very popular in Japan. Actually, it makes me wonder if it was their sudden popularity that was the reason for the game creators to change the ending in ACC. It has very Zerith undertones, at any rate.
Oh, and an crack!pairing would probably be more so along the lines of Aerith and Sephiroth, which I used to ship pretty hard; although, originally, it was Sephiroth who was supposed to have been Aerith's first love, and then there was also the possiblity of them being siblings, but Square threw aside both possibilities. Zack came into the picture much later. O.0; But, yeah...Apparently, I wasn't too far off the mark in my shipping. It just made sense, in some weird way.

Oh good so we're not the only ones that ship them hard XD.
As for Sephiroth and Aerith, I don't think it's that strange if you were assuming that he was her first love. I mean, if that ended up being true, it'd probably end up similar to how Zack and Aerith are now.

I really only know bits and pieces of it, since I didn't watch too much after Victoria Winters returned from the past. Time travel was a big part of the series for some reason. *_*
No matter. Either way, I plan to see this movie when it comes out in May. I just can't believe how much Johnny Depp looks like Jonathon Frid. It's almost too freaky!

Yes, time travel was a big part of the series' storyline, especially with Barnabas Collins' origins. Victoria Winters actually travels back in time and learns the truth about the Collins family, and the tragedy that befell them.
And I totally agreed about Burton making up for Alice. I just watched it again today, and it really bugs me about how much of a mess it really is. I mean, visually, it's stunning, but its storyline could've been better developed. It just felt rushed, you know. Oh, and you know how everyone and his brother has jumped on the bandwagon with the whole Pride and Prejudice and Zombies rewrite on classic novels? It appears that Alice in Wonderland has not eluded such stupidity, since I won't deem what these idiots are doing as madness:

I actually prefer Tim Burton's lavish mess over this atrocity.
