No problem, always good to support my fellow Wellingtonians.

I am actually working for a Wellington start up, GreenButton.net, Our CEO Scott Houston was the chief technology officer at Weta during the production of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He had to deal with finding extra computing capacity to render the intense CG scenes in the films. From these experiences the idea for the 'GreenButton' was born. GreenButton would be a plugin for apps that require ondemand intensive processing power so these tasks can be offloaded to the cloud.

We have just entered into a partnership with Microsoft and have some other very exciting things happening in the near future. So after much hard work we are starting to grow - what started off as a one man show has now expanded to a team of 15.

We are just about to launch a new plugin and rendering service for Luxrender. We have worked out how to tile or chop up single images into many pieces which we then spread over many cores for rapid processing.

We are looking for some beta testers to test our new plugin, just to test everything is working smoothly before we officially launch the plugin in early October.

I noticed you have some very cool art on here and are one of the developers for Luxrender so were wondering if you would like to be one our beta testers? Or if you just have insights or thoughts on what we are doing, we would highly value anything you have to say.
