I'll take some of that back, I would join a "communist" group on DA...IF, it was a small organisation, had a true cause and litlle bureucracy. A smaller organisation is less easily infiltrated. Glory to Bolshevism!!!

Comrade, I dont see why you wanted to join the CPDA, many of its members are sheep, and are only "communist" because it can be seen as fashionable. I would prefer not to join any organisation on DA which presents itself as "communist", because I know that they are most likely not, or if they are they will deform to form reformist parties.

I am wary about 'communist' parties elsewhere... A lot of the 'official' ones have a strange feel to them and seem to have their own agendas, hence why I've been a quiet Communist. Marching in the street with some idiots waving a banner with STALIN on it, of all people, is not my idea of supporting the party...

I am the same way. Marx's theory is sound, though a bit outdated by today's terms. I'm a bit more fluid in my political views, in that I can see alot of beneficial aspects from many systems, but Communism is the one I adhere to the most, because it COULD bring mankind together in peace and harmony... But there are too many greedy people who have made a show of demonizing it, and successfully at that... People who have never even heard of Karl Marx will immediately declare Communism to be horrific and on the level with Hitler.

well put, i wrote a paper for a class I had on the entirety of the vietnam war, I tackled communism in the paper and said "communism is paramountly crippled by human greed and other unsavory human traits." people just assume communism is along the lines of nazism, and let their stereotypes run wild from there. woohoo... now i am all in the mood to conversate about politics... bloody 'ell lol

Yea though, everyone just grabs at the ideas of Communism from Hollywood movies and such, especially that old favourite Red Dawn, in which America is invaded by the Soviet Union and high school kids fight them off single handed.
According to a hardcore right-wing buddy of mine, if you shout "WOLVERINES!" at the top of your lungs in any major city in America, you WILL get a reply along the same lines o.O;
The Red Terror is still running strong all over the planet, I suppose...

If yer going to the politics forum, might be wise to leave your soul at the door... and maybe your brain as well. The sheer stupidity and ignorance that flows on there is astounding. Some nuggets of intellects and wisdom, but mostly 12 year old (either litterally or just mentally) just screaming "NUH-UH NUH-UH! NANANANANANA!!"
