I know some writers around here use Wattpad, but I'm not familiar with the site itself. Otherwise...I'm not sure.
I just saw your journal post, and I know it can be really discouraging on here sometimes because it is more visually based, but don't give up! Are you commenting on other people's work? The fastest way to gain recognition, likes, and page views on here is making sure you comment, comment, comment. If no one knows you exist, you won't have a lot of people reading your work.

i posted the journal entry on fourm and all i got was a slew of negativity from people, saying that I was an attention seeker and all that stuff. (Which they are not wrong, I am a hypocrite.)

I guess you can say that I am scared of being rejected...

Our writing is personal and a direct reflection of us: it can be scary for others to read our work!
I know that sometimes I get hurt when people critique my work, even though I need it. It can be scary for people to say that they don't like a part of your poem, or that you didn't convey a message well. It's easy to take it personally.

Sometimes people assume I'm depressed or something because I tend to write darker material, when in reality I'm really happy and it just happens to be the way I write! So when I get, "This is sad, when you are going to write happy poems?" it can sting. For a long time, I wouldn't let anyone (ANYONE) read my work because I was afraid.

But...if we want to get better, or be recognized as a writer...we have to put ourselves out there, and offer others encouragement as well. Before I published my first anything, I was rejected A LOT. I still am working on publishing an anthology! It's unfortunately a pain we have to go through if we want our work to be recognized.

I say all of that to say: Believe in yourself and your work. If you know you write quality material, then stand by it, even if no one reads it immediately or they have criticism. And continue to practice!

I guess I'll try and manage. I am really a downer in real life, I just want to show people what I got. And it's very discouraging when there's no one who sees it. I used to draw a lot, but I quit drawing due to the fact that I wasn't very good at it, I tried to not think about it too much but eventually it gave in and I had to part ways with my art account on dA, I know practice makes perfect, but unfortunately I am a person who takes everything so seriously. That aspect of myself makes me hate myself as a person, so there's lot of self-loathing. Deep down, I know I suck...But, part of me refuses to admit it.

It is discouraging, but don't be so down on yourself. Don't let the lack of praise keep you from doing what you love. Very few of us begin as excellent writers, and not everyone who writes has the gift of words. 
Don't take it so seriously that it's not enjoyable anymore! It defeats the purpose of writing.
