I hadn't thought they were alike much. Apart from perhaps having a girl whose intentions might be all they seem to the characters and layouts changing (unless that was only in the demo I played a while ago). A guess a large group of characters in one place might remind them of corpse party due to the large cast. But I think that perhaps that they saw it was an RPG Horror and Corpse Party is the only example they have and therefore they mentioned it reminded them of that. It would be like having a favourite pizza restaurant and when you go to a new one, you compare them.

Do you know, that are 5 chapters, to each one be "Stages of grief" and the "Ghost wound" straw doll only drags people with grief in their hearts, starting with Pamela and Mary that have both sisters that well died for say so... (Pamela is a maybe)
but the first Yurei had a big cast before, and was set in a hospital, now is a orphanage, and really... the game over screen was boring, I wanted to make something that nobody did it before, a animated game over...
About the cast, Akane, Ken, Hajime and Ai, are the original cast, Mary and Erika actually were in the game before, Mary called as "Angela" and Erika... my god she WAS Yurei, is not anymore, too confusing, Pamela actually was a recicle from another game I was making "Jora Tora"
And I was watching Cry playlist, and really, is way different on the way it goes... like by a lot, I'm involving the tribe Sukumbra in the play, because, actually Mary and Pamela had some unknown links with the tribe, the Kisaragi siblings, Ai and Hajime, don't have any connection with the tribe, but, they caretaker, Mark actually knowed a Sukumbra tribe member, Yurei ghost itself is of a Pentumbra tribe member, and Akane is really dwelling into Antumbra stuff, Ken for other side, was more the main protagonist, he is actually more of a kind-hearted soul with a foul mouth, only this
To be honest with you I didn't made it be a school because I didn't wanted comparations with "Misao" Well... looks like I'm fucked, also that's why the first sprites were with uniform like... and I decided to keep it on Akane, Pamela and Erika because... Mary sprite get very well, and this sprites take a while, so I just change the head and the tone of skin, well, there you have! Backstage stories!

I could try and help with sprites of something and try and make the style match yours. Or custom tiles and try and make them match. I dunno, suggest things you want doing, but can't/don't want to do yet/

Oh... It happens, actually not fade out to darkness, it really happens, they actually can die on it, by who? Idk, Wandering Spirits? Shadows? Eaters? Hostile ghost's? Killed by other person? A bullet to the skul? Yurei itself? Pick your way out of there
