I have come on the page today after being gone for some time. I write at Word Press, on Rubies Corner's Blog at Word Press.com. I have worked on this blog for some time now, telling my story, and commenting about life. Today, my son suggested I visit my account at deviant art. It is still here. I will continue to write.

I am an artist because it puts my mind on work. Painting a scene is work to me, but I enjoy it. My father taught me most of what I know. He loved detail, and he cleaned my brushes for me when I finished a lesson. He made sure they were clean for the next time.

I look at everyone's art, and know they are better than I am. I love flowers, trees, mountains, and water scenes. My major subject is a flower. I draw, paint, and study until I have a likeness.
