Thank you for your comments on my different projects.  I have really enjoyed working on all of them.  The Natural History Museum loved the Nautilus piece.  They are using it in their touring display and I plan on doing 2 other pieces for them.  That Groot cardholder has brought me several commissions where other artist want their own cardholder...I usually use a piece of their artwork to make them.  I am working on 2 cardholders now and hope to have them posted in the next couple of weeks.

Hi IronManRox27,

Thank you for your comment on my profile, of course I had to have my daughters come in and explain what it meant, but again, thank you.

I am really going to show my age (62) and my lack of Internet suave, but what is a Gerald spam?  I just didn't give you permission to hack my computer, like inviting a Vampire in your house.

Thank you for your comment! Im not in the force but i trying to get in, whats really hard to do in Croatia as the requests to came in are huge so the army can pick who will it like to serve. Im inking with a fineliner sakura or marvy pens and i render with markers. I also have pastels and oil but i want to get this good first until i start to spend expensive colors on canvas. I just love millitary, trains, firefighting, police ( to a point) and vehicles in general. I love ships too and i try to get as many books as possible to get good info on what im doing as all of that is really technical ( and history related) sometimes.

Hi Iwanga,

Thank you on your comments on the Majora Mask and the profile.  I have several new projects coming up including another Capt Rex, an Ahsoka, Batman, Batgirl and CatWoman, plus a few commission pieces.  With the 3-D pieces I will be designing a new more aggressive Werewolf and I will be trying to design a Cyberman from Dr. Who.  Talk to you later, Don

Hi RampageArt, Just wanted to say i absolutely adore your gallery, i've never seen woodwork quite like this before. Somebody on Tumblr directed me to your gallery after they picked up one of your Mystery Skulls pieces at a convention. I'd love to commission you if you are taking them at the moment

Can't wait to see what you create in the future!

Hi Steph-Sama,

Thank you for your comments on my gallery, I really enjoy designing and creating the pieces.  When I first started working on wood projects, I never thought I would be producing art like this...sometimes I am even amazed how well some of the pieces turn out.

I would love to find out what you are thinking of, not everything can be turned into one of my pieces.  I live in Citrus Heights in Sacramento, and you can contact me at ramageart@Comcast.net    Talk to you later, Don

Hi TheTurnerPack,

Thank you for the birthday wish, I was surprised to find someone knew my birthday, so I had to ask my girls who showed me where it is in my profile.  Checked out your gallery, love the wood burning.  I have a cheap wood burner and never really got into it even though I love how wood burning looks.  You have some really nice pieces.  My personal favorite in wood burning subjects is birds of prey, I have several downloaded.  My girls like the Naruto Clan Village coasters.  Some suggestions for more coasters are DC and Marvel character logos, the original S.H.I.E.L.D. logo would look great, also, Dr. Who logos...the Seal of Rasilon and Dr. Who's name in Galifrey.  You could probably do well at Anime Conventions...try it out at a local convention, most tables are like $30 - $50.  Talk to you later, Don

TheTurnerPack In reply to RamageArt [2015-01-20 18:01:28 +0000 UTC]

You are welcome!

And thank you for looking at my burnings I too love birds of prey and try to do a lot of them!
And thanks for the suggestions! Those would all be awesome! I'm currently trying to see if there is somewhere I can order plain cork coasters in bulk. It's so easy to go through a lot when you make a set of 4 to 6 at a time!

I've never thought about a convention. I'll have to check it out!

Hi alwaysdaydream,

Thank you for your comments about my gallery.  It is always nice to find that someone new has stumbled upon it and likes it.  I usually try and add a new piece every one to two weeks.  In the winter I slow down a bit because I work in my garage and sometimes it gets too cold.  My next project is a commission of Majora's mask from Zelda, then I will try and do either Iron Man or Holly Short (from the book Artemis Fowl).

Talk to you later, Don

RamageArt In reply to kateknitsalot [2014-05-28 14:12:47 +0000 UTC]

Hi Kateknitsalot,

Thank you for your comments on my gallery.  I made my daughters stands for her dolls because she was entering them into the California State Fair and we wanted them to stand up, there is a thin dowel sticking up through the stand that holds the doll in position.  She won Honorable Mention on all her dolls and they will be shown at the fair.  But I think I created a monster, she is making all these plans for future dolls, like the ballroom floor she wants me to do for Belle in Beauty and the beast.  The next pieces I am working on is a 3-D Stegosaurus, a Klingon Bat'leth, and a really cool "face hugger" from Alien.  Talk to you later, Don

Thank you for the birthday greeting. Sorry I havn't posted anything lately, but all my woodworking stuff is in the garage and it's just been to cold out there. Will do some new projects when it warms up a bit. I am either going to do a flying dragon or a red eyed tree frog. Both designs are equally cool. Talk to you later, Don

Hi Wolfie1975,

Thank you for youe comments. I used to fly with the Air Force as a medic, and we would fly to Alaska about 6 times a year for 20 years. I fell in love with the Haida style art, never thought at the time I would actually be producing it myself. After doing a few pieces, I tried it out as looking like stone and was amazed at how good it looked. I have several more pieces of Haida style designs I want to make. Talk to you later, Don

Haida style art would be an interesting thing...esp if you can successfully untangle the style from the culture. Not easy to do! It is
such a rich culture.
