I lost count, honestly. Whatever entry this is, i'll be sure as to.. who am i kidding, i don't care. My head has been pounding for days now, i haven't left my room in months, I can't sleep. I haven't spoken to a single monster besides my cousin. She says i look like a ghost. Ironic, really. I feel like one. Without Cherie our family has really.. lost itself. My father and mother have cut off all contact with me. Guess that's what i get for it, for being the daughter they never wanted. They never wanted a sentry, you know that. They run a little armory, and that? That's what daughter they wanted. But, I ran away and they gave up. Then Cherie came along, and I - I just couldn't [the sentence stops]
There's someone else, now. He- He's probably reading this.
I don't who his is, but
I'm so scared.
I can't let him out.
He'll kill everyone.

Dammit, I just. . Cherie why did you have to leave yourself so .. alone with me. I'm not safe. I'm dangerous.
Please tell me this is a prank. I could never kill her .. She was my sister. She was my life, you know. I willingly took my
position as a sentry because i - I wanted her to be safe. I- I'd take her place any day. I just my family back.

Week 24, sentry duty
Cherie's coming down for a visit soon. Finally convinced my mother to let her stay for a bit, it's been rough actually. Since, you know - the rest of my family lives all the way at the capital. Cherie and I had a phone call this morning, she suspects i've got a cRUSH. She honestly thinks that's my problem. I think i'll let her believe that-.. for now. I'd rather tell her in person. As for my parents? Heck no. They - They honestly would never accept this. My mother used to be such a well known sentry, and my dad? He was part of the royal guard in the WAR. There's no bloody way those two would accept I had this kind of mistake. Sigh. Those two never even liked Chara, too. They were SO- angry, for lack of a better word, that I almost had Cherie play with them. I don't blame them, though. The war obviously took it's toll on both of them.

Week 23, sentry duty
Well, I visited Pixl a friend , and she's grown surprisingly determined to fix my problem. I'll be seeing her a bit to see if there's anything she can do. [ The rest of this paragraph seems to be missing, almost? ]
As for weird activity, My cousin told me earlier today something odd. That I needed to stop creeping her out? I don't really know what she meant by this? She mentioned something about thuds from my room? I don't know, though. I've honestly just been burying myself in my work at the stations - I told Asgore that it's fine, now. I planned for a get together with Asgore later, he and I used to be tea buddies after all. But, that besides the point. I asked her to keep an ear out for it. I'll update on this in the next post.. maybe.
Also, Side note: Cherie and I plan to have a chat. I actually might tell her what's been up. I feel like she needs to know - for her own sake.

Week 22, sentry duty
I decided to go back to sentry duty. The soul seems.. dormant? Or, something.. But, it's fine. I've been tired, recently. It's almost like the soul is draining my energy? It's, u gh, it's terrible. Cherie's getting more determined to figure out what's up with me, too. I'm worried. This soul wasn't friendly in life, but in death.. it's like -
It's like it's waiting. I don't like that. I don't like that at all. I'm going to try and keep a report of any suspicious activities?
Like , uh, okay- So this morning I woke up and my favorite glass vase had been knocked over. It was shattered and all over the place. I found that thing in waterfall, and I doubt i'll find another. But, like - I didn't do it, and I know my cousin didn't either. She knows not to touch my stuff. Cherie was with my parents, and I doubt someone snuck into my room just to crash my vase party. But if some monster did, bad timing man. It makes me.. uncomfortable, though. Like i've thought about asking Ana to fix it? But, i don't.. I don't want to?

Week 18, Sentry duty
Asgore has decided for us to capture any, and all humans that fall into the underground. He personally came down and spoke with myself and the dogs. I'm worried? I've never actually done a fight.. ? Sure i've trained my ice powers with some of the best down here in Snowdin. ( I'm looking at you, Mom. ) But, I - I just worry. I am first in line for whatever human falls down - .. I guess, if anything does happen.. I've just got to hope that i'll be enough. I'm still nervous. Toriel and Asgore haven't been doing too hot, either. I guess that's really just been putting us monsters on edge. I want Cherie to see the surface one day. I was young when we came here, but,
I can't wait to back. Back to the surface.

Week 17, sentry duty
.. Chara and Asriel, I just saw them last week alive and well. But, they .. they aren't anymore. From what the king explained, Chara fell ill, died and Asriel - .. They tried to go to the surface. They were filled with determination to get us out of here. But even that wasn't enough to save them from those- humans. How could they? Asriel- and Chara both were such kind hearted individuals, how could they bring themselves to kill them? Asriel couldn't hurt a fly even if he wanted to. King Asgore told me to watch for any, and all humans. He told us sentries that he has a plan to become a god, and to finally free us from this place.

Week 16, sentry duty
Asriel came down with Chara today. Chara really isn't as bad as i'd suspected?? I even got them to laugh one time with my puns, gosh i feel bunny. But, I asked if Cherie could join them the next time. Chara seemed a bit.. hesitant, but, Asriel was completely alright with it. For the prince of the underground, the first real person i've seen him hang around- beside me when he comes down to the sentry station to hang around the place for a snowball fight or two, is Chara. It's nice, really, to see everyone get along. Maybe everyone on the surface isn't that bad after all?

Week 15, sentry duty
I got this.. dairy..- ew, no n o. I like the sound of journal better. But - anyways, I got this after Cherie practically demanded I write everything down that happens in Sentry duty. Goodness, it's a lot more.. boring than i expected. It's peaceful, though, me myself and my books.
Cherie's so proud of me, it really- .. it's nice? Asgore keeps telling me how important I am but I don't feel too great, honestly? It's not like another human has fallen down since Chara. That kid kind of gives me the creeps? But, the prince and that child get along just fine. It's adorable, really. Maybe one day I'll ask them if Cherie could play along with them.

Dia shoved her paw in her pocket, shuffling the spare change she had in her pocket. It had been.. at least a few months since she'd actually willingly left the Inn. She sighed. Her cousin, the innkeeper, herself, had given her quite the pep talk a fifteen or so minutes ago.
"Come on, Dia. " She said, shuffling her position behind the counter. Her smile that she was known to plaster on with her customers faded. "You can't let that hold you back, " She said, motioning softly to a photo that she'd pulled out moments before. "You know Cherie would never want you to be this way."
Dia's gaze was aimed toward the photo as she sat on her blue-grey sheets. It was of her and her younger sister, Cherie when they were younger and she was..
Dia shook her head, lowering her ears. She rubbed her eyes, they were red from crying so much.She set the photograph in her pocket, then, she stood. She was tired of hiding. She would just have be careful, having two souls.. it was never easy.

*( The human child wandered into Snowdin, not knowing what to expect. Everyone was monsters, after all. Everything here was new to them... Frisk thought about what to do and where to go. Taking a breath and continuing their journey, Frisk brought their attention to their ghost friend, Chara. Since Frisk couldn't talk, Chara would accompany the silence with their sour remarks and rude dialogue. Now was no exception. )
* Frisk, what seems to be the matter?

*( Frisk rolled their eyes while Chara laughed at their own joke. Chara was not the type to care if they hurt someone else's feelings, so their jokes were often at Frisk's expense. Ignoring Chara, Frisk turned their attention back to their journey through Snowdin. )

[S]nowdin, oh what a wonderful place it was. The majority of the resistant were always so cheerful and happy, bustling along and doing their normal daily activities. It was a wonder that the monsters always kept their hopes up, but in Snowdin, there was something a bit more magical. Maybe it was the Christmas vibes, who knows?
Whatever the reason was, Sans didn't care. As long as his brother was happy where they were at, then how could he complain. He didn't even feel the cold, so there really was no complaints coming from the short skeleton.
Letting out a puff of air into the cool, crisp, windy atmosphere, Sans observed the scenery in Snowdin Town. The smiles, the laughter, the life that radiated off the place. His brother was no where to be seen, most likely building up yet another puzzle for any human to face... that is, if a human comes around. He wandered around the town mindlessly, almost in a dream-like state. He wasn't really paying attention to anyone, or anything, even if they greeted him. Everyone pretty much knew one another in Snowdin town, after all. Although, he came to a sudden halt at the sight of someone unfamiliar. Was it a new monster? Where did they even come from? He couldn't place a finger on it, but there was no use standing around and coming up with theories. With that in mind, he approached the other, and the closer he got, the more he was able to make out what kind of monster she was.
"hey there."
Sans greeted with a small gesture of his hand, only to return back into its normal place in his pocket. "i don't think i've seen you around here before. are ya new here?"

Dia read over the small note once more. Her cousin had demanded she go out for the .. 'monthly'
errand check, at least. It was an easy list, really. But, the rabbit was almost shaking. What if she slipped
up today? What if - She shook off the thoughts and looked up to the rabbit behind the counter, her paws
crossed on the desk before her. Her expression of concern, she let out a soft sigh.
"You really worry me, Dia. " She spoke up before motioning toward the door. "I'll leave you be after this-
Just seriously, try to take care of yourself. " She rambled on, like she always did. Dia's ears flattened and
she nodded softly the familiar speech was almost memorized by the rabbit monster. Her same comment
still left the familiar sting, like always.
" You know Cherie wouldn't want to see her sister like this. " Dia nodded, and turned away heading out into
the familiar little town of Snowdin. She'd have to tell her someday, then again, she'd have to.. she'd have to
tell everyone someday. She hadn't even told anyone outside of Asgore, who she'd told specifically not to worry
about the soul. After all, at that time Kane was.. quiet. She stuffed the note in her pocket and glanced around.
The town was as lively as ever. She mumbled to herself softly and started to head off toward the shops.
Though, she stopped like a deer in the headlights when she heard someone approach her. She just stared blankly
for a moment, before raising a paw up her mouth and clearing her throat. "H-Hey there. " She stated, waving softly.
"Uh.. I um.. I'm normally not outside. " She looked away, it was obvious the rabbit wasn't good with a conversation.
It was almost like she hadn't had one in ages. "Uh, I stay at the inn, and just kinda- don't really get out much. My
cousin owns and she kinda forces me outside sometimes. "

This was the big day. The day that the two skeletons moved into their new home. The day that Alphys replaced the previous Royal Scientist. The day that the Underground drastically changed. Sans, age 13, had managed an amazing feat in forgery to get this house. He forged Gaster's signature and was able to set up here. It was a very cheap house, and the budget they were left with allowed it. Papyrus, age 6, was just excited to be a part of this. He thrived on change. He loved when things moved around.
It was a few hours after setting up their home that the two brothers finally ventured into town. Sans counted the money carefully, pulling his hood over his head. His outfit was a little worse for wear, as was his brother's, but they would make due. Right now, they needed to use their money sparingly. Food was a must.
The two of them stepped into the marketplace, Papyrus eagerly waving at every stranger he saw while Sans remained quiet and quickly began picking out different foods so he could stock up.

"Cherie- will you relax?" Dia laughed, ruffling the shorter rabbit's hair with an evident grin. Cherie huffed, the seven year old was a handful- and, well, she was excited. It wasn't often their parents actually let her come down to Snowdin. Something about it being dangerous? Cherie didn't listen to it- she was aware Dia wouldn't let anything happen to her.
"But- But! You know mom's all hard on this stuff? It's- it's a big deal she actual let me come down here- for a week!" Cherie stated with a giggle, wiggling out of Dia's little ruffle. She hopped a few feet in front of her sister. She looked around the market. Dia didn't exactly have supplies for a week- at least, not enough for Cherie. "True, true. Just- try to stay close? Alright? " Dia said, before she conversed with one her usual shopkeeper. Cherie nodded and stood beside Dia, peeking over the stand- she spotted Sans and Papyrus. She gasped, and instantly dipped around the stand. Dia realized and lightly shook her head. "And there she goes." She commented.
Cherie hopped over to Sand and Papyrus waving them down. "Hey! Hey new faces!" She shouted with a giggle. "Hi there!"

Papyrus' eyes got wide and sparkly at this stranger and he immediately waved more eagerly. "Hi!" He exclaimed. "We just moved here, but, but Sans says I shouldn't talk to strangers. You seem nice, though! I can talk to you, I think!"
Sans immediately peered over, a shopping basket in his hands. "Paps, I told you it to talk to strangers." He spoke quietly, heading closer to the two of them. "A stranger is a stranger no matter if they seem nice or not."
"Oh- sorry Sans! Accident. She seemed so nice." Papyrus replied, looking over at her. "Let's not be strangers anymore! My name is Papyrus, what is yours? Can we be friends?"
Sans rubbed his temples, letting out a small sigh, but his faux grin remained. "C'mon, bro. It's not like that. It's more complicated." He usually was more upbeat, or at least better at hiding his real emotions, but today had been a tough day. Looking over at Cherie, Sans' grin grew a bit more sheepish. "Sorry about him. Just isn't used to being in public is all." The short skeleton rubbed the back of his head.

Cherie perked up, grinning. She waved again. "Hiya!" She giggled. "You just moved?" She questioned, "My sister lives here! I'm sure we could show you around?" She asked, glancing back. Dia had finished up business and followed after Cherie stopping behind her with a bag slung on her shoulder. Cherie gave Dia a wave, before introducing themselves. "I'm Cherie!" She said, turning back to the two and motioning to her chest for a moment with a proud smile. "anndd.. this is my sister, Dia!" Cherie added. "Nice to meet you, Papyrus!" Dia frowned her brow in a bit of confusion, but waved. "Cherie are you bugging these two?" She asked, mostly directed toward the brothers.

"It is so nice to meet you, Cherie!" Papyrus beamed. "Now you are no longer a stranger!! I can talk to you now!" He bounced on his toes, glancing at Dia. "Oh hi! It's nice to meet you too! She's not bothering me! I think she is my friend now!"
Sans gently tugged his brother closer to himself, looking slightly cautious of the others. "It's no bother." He responded, looking the two of them up and down. "'Sides, you two seem decent." He looked down at Papyrus before his gaze shifted to them again. "Paps was the one who was bein' loud and sneaky. Say sorry to them, huh?"
"Sorry..!" Papyrus immediately spoke, holding his hands together now.

Cherie nodded, giggling. She was clearly happy- probably,, the happiest Dia had seen her in quite some time. Dia
nodded softly with a laugh. "Well, if that's the case, then I guess there's nothin' wrong here. " Dia paused, hearing
Sans comment about Paps. She shook her head, raising her free paw to dismiss his apology. "It's totally chill- " She
stated, unintentionally cracking her own pun and nudging her sister softly. Cherie noticed and broke into soft laughter.
".. What brings you two down to Snowdin? " She asked.

"Just moved here." Sans responded, lightening up a little bit at the pun. "Heh, yeah, I like this place. Pretty cool, if you ask me." He stretched a little.
"Yes! It's nice here! We used to live in the Waterfall, but, but this dog always broke into our house and stole my special attack. I'm happy to be here and away from that dog." Papyrus put his hand to his chest.
"Heh, yep. Anyways, I was just gonna get somethin' for dinner and some oatmeal for Paps."
"With dinosaur eggs?" Papyrus questioned, tugging at Sans' sleeve.
"Egg-xactly." Sans responded, earning a googly-eyed glare from his little sibling.

"I get cha. " Dia stated, "I moved here a few years ago. Took up a job as a sentry recently-
actually. " She said, shrugging a bit. She giggled a bit hearing his pun and nodded. "It's
really a nice place. " Cherie had been quiet, but - gasped rather loudly at the mention of
waterfall. "You lived in waterfall! I love waterfall! " She exclaimed, clasping her paws
together with a rather big grin. She giggled. "And - a doggy stole your special attack?
That's not very nice. If i see the dog - I'll have to have my mom lecture him about
stealing!" Cherie stated, nodding softly.
"Dinosaur eggs? Haha.. Cherie loves those too. I actually can't seem to get her to eat
breakfast otherwise. " Dia said, nodding softly. "Speaking of which - I'm running low on
that. " Cherie perked up at this. "Well - Then we'll just have to get some! " She stated.
"I refuse to go a week without my dinosaurs! "

"A sentry, huh? Cool. I have a job sellin' hot dogs in the Hotlands for now, but I was thinkin' of getting a job here too because it's so close." There was a pause. Life sure had gotten more complicated since Gaster fell, but he couldn't dwell on that now. He had more important things to worry about. He was still working on laying low so that no one would find out that they had no legal guardian. "Anyways, we should hang some time. Paps has been dying to get some friends around here. He loves socializing." The short skeleton grinned.
"Yes, a dog stole my special attack- that isn't the reason we moved here, though!" His thought process was cut off when he heard that the two of them had something in common. "What!! You like oatmeal with dinosaur eggs too?? What a coincidence! We have so much in common!" Papyrus exclaimed, absolutely elated to have someone that seemed to like him.

"Oh man, " Dia said with a soft laugh. "Wish i could stand hotland and then maybe one time I
could stop bye down there. " She stated, shrugging a bit. "Cherie's down here all week, and i'm
always either A. chilling at my sentry station - trust me nothing really happens i'm bored most of
the time. Or, B. At the inn. My cousins own both the shop and the inn. Cherie's definitely a social
butterfly, so- just stop by. "She commented, nodding. "On another note, If you two end up needing
a place to crash for whatever reason i'm sure i can get cha a room at the inn. " Dia nodded.
"That's not nice!! " Cherie said, her voice rose a bit in pitch. She was genuinely upset with this dog -
then again, she already like Papyrus. He seemed really nice! "Yeah! " Cherie hopped right out the
derailed though process with a laugh. "It's really good! "

"The only reason I can stand the Hotlands is because we've been around there a lot of our life, so I guess we've just gotten used to it." The older brother replied. "We just got a place here, so I don't think we'll need a room at the inn. But thanks for the offer. It means a lot." Sans grinned now.
"Can we hang out today? Please? Let's do the hangouts! I need to show you my new room! My action figures are so cool! And then when we're done playing, you can come into the kitchen and we can have oatmeal with dinosaur eggs for snack too!" Papyrus called out, holding up his hands.
"I, uh... I'm not sure that's such a great idea. We still have a lot of stuff to do." Sans rubbed the back of his head.
"Please, brother? Oh please oh please oh please???"
Sans couldn't resist puppy dog eyes. He looked over st Dia and Cherie. "Okay, okay, but it's up to them. Whether they wanna come or not."

"Ah, I gotcha. " Dia nodded softly. Still, despite the two having a place to stay- she
just felt it was necessary to inform them that there was always somewhere else
they could stay. There was times, you own home can turn out to be.. unsafe.
Cherie perked up at the mention of hanging out. She gasped, listening intently to the shorter
skeleton's ideas. "Oh! Yeah! " Cherie nodded and looked toward her sister. She obviously
was alright with heading along with the two.
Dia smiled and shrugged. "Well, " Dia paused for a moment, bringing her free paw to her chin. She
always did this - mostly for suspense. She fell quiet for a moment. "Why not? "

Sans nodded, grinning at the two of them. "Lemme just pay for my stuff and then we can get a move on, okay?" The short skeleton asked, gathering up a few more quick things before heading to the cashier. He paid for the groceries and then headed out with the others. "Our house is just at the edge of Snowdin, so it's a little bit of a walk, but not too far." Sans said, stepping out into the snow again.
"Nyeh heh heh! I can't wait to show you my action figure collection! You're going to love it! I only have three so far, but, but I'll get more because I ask Santa for them every year." The short skeleton boasted. "And I'm really good every year too."

Dia nodded softly, slinging her own bag over her shoulder for a moment. "Alright, That's
not too hard to remember. " Dia stated, before gesturing in the direction of the inn. "I'll be
over in a bit, going to drop off our stuff since i'm far too lazy to carry them everywhere.
Cherie, behave yourself. " Dia stated before casually swinging around and heading in the
direction of the inn.
Cherie waved at her sister as she headed off, before turning back to Papyrus with a giggle.
"I can't wait, They sound really neat!" She said with honest curiosity. " Santa only gets me
crystals, i've got six total but those are back at the capital. " She said nodding softly. "I'm
pretty good, too, or at least my sister thinks so. "

"Yep. Last house before the Waterfall. See ya soon." Sans responded, paying for the groceries. He waved at Dia before glancing back at the register. His eyes focused on the cashier, watching him scan each individual item. Once that was done, he took the money out of his pocket and handed it over. They just barely met the limit. He only had 3 G to spare.
Papyrus eagerly waved at Dia before jumping up and down at what Cherie had said. "Wowie! Crystals! That's so neat! Are they... Are they like the crystals in the waterfall? Because... because if they are, that's even cooler!"
Sans grinned at the two of them, taking the bags of groceries. "C'mon, kiddos. Lets head on home." He said, beginning to walk towards the exit of the market. Papyrus eagerly followed, taking Cherie's hand and pulling her along.

Cherie nodded, briefly counting on her paws for a moment, just to make sure she had
the right amount. "Four are! Though, the other two- My mom says are from the surface! "
She stated rather proudly, with an added grin. She gave Sans a glance before she followed
after Papyrus. Half dragged, half not.

"Really? That's crazy! All the way from the surface?!" Papyrus held his hands together. "The barrier was put up before I was born. I don't even KNOW what the surface looks like!" He exclaimed, putting his hands to his face. "Ahhhh your mom is so so lucky!"
Sans walked up to his house, taking out his pair of keys and unlocking the door. He stepped to the side in order to allow the kids entrance first. Papyrus ran inside, still trying to pull Cherie along. He was so excitable.
"We're HOME!" The younger skeleton exclaimed, bolting for the stairs. "Come on, I gotta show you my action figures! You're gonna love them!"

"Yeah! They're really neat! My sister saw the surface, too! I'll have to get her
to give us a story! She likes telling stories! " She nodded. Unlike her mother, Dia
was quite open about the surface and told Cherie about it often. She really was
proud of her sister for sure. She was helping everyone get back up there, after all!
She followed Papyrus inside glancing around for a brief moment. Papyrus' tug dragging
her out of her curiosity and back to the task at hand. She quite literally hopping up the
stairs after him. She was just as excited as Papyrus was to see the action figures.

"Wowie! That's so cool!" Papyrus pulled Cherie along, running up the stairs and towards his room. He opened up the door, peering inside and looking all around. "Yes! Here we are! My beautiful room! Come inside, come inside! Make yourself comfortable!" The kid said, running around and trying to figure out where he had put all his favorite toys. He had to show her all of them.
Sans, meanwhile, moved towards the kitchen, beginning to make some sandwiches. He stayed fairly quiet, just silently hoping that she wouldn't ask where the parents were.
