I draw them and then scan them. Then I use photoshop to colour them and erase unwanted smudges.

Too rich for your blood? I do not think I have heard that expression before, but if you mean money, it is not an issue with the photoshop I use.
The photoshop I use is Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, and it is free.
