No problem. Was the only work I found on here that's actually vaguely related to 28 Days Later.

No problem, love the throwback to the old Space Shuttles
Wished they didn't have to retire that quickly, or that NASA would make a successor of sorts to the Space Shuttles but, unfortunately, guess that ain't gonna be the case for a very long time

NASA's never been a funding priority for Congress (and even when it was, it was just to show up the Commies). A proper Space Shuttle needs a short turnaround time and a high mission readiness, which is admittedly something we still need to work up to. A hybrid staging system with an airborne launch carrier strikes me as the most feasible right now (and it could take advantage of the orbiter's wings for the ascent phase). Maybe something like the old ESA HermesΒ concept, taken aloft on a carrier plane and then launched with a recoverable booster a la the Falcon 9.

I was kinda hoping something more along the lines of a Single-Stage to Orbit craft but, I suppose that works too.
Either way, sorry for the late reply. My internet was an ass these past few months.

Internet communication is inherently asynchronous, no matter what anyone tells you. No worries.
SSTO is nice, but mass fractions caused by having to lug around oxidizer and tankage that would otherwise be jettisoned make it a functional non-starter. Reaction Engines' SABRE is looking like the best bet for a SSTO technology, especially now that they've gotten the pre-inlet supercooler to work. Ditch the lower-stages' oxidizer mass and SSTO suddenly starts looking a lot more feasible.
Still, SABRE is a work in progress that isn't guaranteed to work. Air launch is eminently doable; the problem there is that the launch aircraft start getting ludicrously huge for larger payloads.

....alright, seems I still couldn't reply to my own dA status thing. GG
Good thing I was never really much of a fan of it anyway. If everything else works properly, I'm fine with that.

Uh thanks...
just wished more people noticed it though. So far only 3 of you have noticed that I've finally posted it after working on it for so long...
Now with that said, there's gonna be A LOT more to come when it comes to Dusk Spawn...
