Never RestScreaming, teeth baring, hands clenching
Crying, blood choking, mind wrenching
Fighting hard to get off the deathbed they strapped me in
They say they'll fix me, change my heart so I can live
I had a choice and they take that away
To better me, to change me
I know who I am and don't need changing
I like who I am and don't need fixing
Drugs won't knock me out, it's pointless
Even chloroform won't take me down
I want them to see right here and now
My eyes will be watching every cut
Every stitch, everything they do
Everything.
They think they finally changed me, and they begin to smile
They think they solved everything, my throat fills with bile
They are sick, full of misunderstanding, and so so vile
Heavy breathing, eyes red and tears brimming, what a trial
Aching, haunting, a constant reminder
Of the deed they have done
They killed me
But in their eyes, they have saved me
And for what I wonder?
All I want is to go under
Underneath the Earth, the smoke and bones, happy
Where I'll receive
