When I was in middle school I used to make these really wonky stories with paradoxical time travel and mary sues with god-moding powers and elf ears. Life was.. interesting!! xD

Mine were all these shapeshifter-type critters with special powers and such. And the main character was sorta a rebel without a cause. I was all "this will be a great comic one day!" but then reality came by and notified me of huge plot holes and very mary sue characters. Woooo xD Welp, cheers to bigger an better things starting this year xD

I had some shapeshifters too, actually (AND THEY WERE GREEN. JUST LIKE BEASTBOY LOL). And I had my fair share of mary sues, hehe. Funny thing is, I've just revamped most of those old stories- added new flares, made things more interesting, etc. And, oh boy, do I hear you about this year! aw yeah.
