Officially, he's the White Monster from the the series finale of Teen Titans. But, in my fan series, I've merged him with an original character of mine: Marco Antonio Logan-Roth, also known as Malor. I did this by adopting the White Monster as my normally human-looking OC's "Beast Form." So, in a way, my character's half-canon.

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-06-05 03:08:37 +0000 UTC]

Publicly, (meaning that he explains it to everyone,) his alter ego alias is an abbreviation of the words "Malice" and "Valor." It's meant to illustrate the duality of his nature: His methods are malicious, but his motives are valiant. Privately, (meaning that for the time being, not even the reader knows it,) his superhero name is also, actually, the initials of his secret identity: Marco Antonio Logan-Roth. (Except for the "O" in Malor, that replaces the "-" between his surnames.)

P.S.- I would like it if Malor civilian name stays between us, for now. I want his true identity to remain a secret to all until I'm ready to have it revealed.

The only thing about Malor that I want you to keep a secret is his true identity and anything that may expose that part of him. Such as the secondary meaning of his hero name. (Atleast until I'm ready to reveal who he really is.)

What about it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-06-10 06:01:36 +0000 UTC]

I wanted to be something like how Garfield Mark Logan (aka Beastboy, aka the Changeling) would look without his mutation. (I believe he was white, with blonde hair and blue eyes before the serum.) Though, I don't want the resemblance to be so obvious that it's a dead giveaway to who he really is. Do you know what I'm saying?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-06-11 04:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Well, I would argue that Gar's hair was darker, not blonde, but that's just me.Β  That being said, I suppose that depends entirely on what you want to base the design off of.Β  If you want to go with the designs of the animated series, one way to go might be to have him adopt some of Raven's more rouded facial structure, maybe not as flat as Gar's face is.Β  Just a thought.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-06-29 02:37:08 +0000 UTC]

Originally, I was considering to have some of Terra's facial features for that. But, now that you mention it, I do want to see some of Raven in him. I just hope that won't give away Malor's true identity. If you can keep her distinctive features from sticking out to much, use The shape of Raven's face for Malor's. If it's possible, do the same thing with Beast Boy's eyes, nose, mouth, and hair. (The ears just have to look human.) And have his eye and hair color to be the same as either Terra's or Melvin's. (I'll leave that choice up to you.)

P.S. Malor will be somewhere between his late 10s and early 20s in my Fanfic's series premiere, which is set roughly a decade after the Canon series finale. He will also be the youngest and newest member of the main team. (Not like an honorary Titan.)

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-06-29 08:48:43 +0000 UTC]

Well, we'll see what happens.Β  I guess the question now is, you you want to see it JLU DCAU style or Teen Titans DCAU style?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-07-09 20:11:46 +0000 UTC]

Actually, was considering the Young Justice style. But, I want to maintain the anime element (or as I like to call it, the "A-Factor") found in that of Teen Titans. Is there anyway you could merge the two styles, together? Or, better yet, just incorporate the "A-Factor" of the TT style into that of YJ? If not, then just go with Teen Titans.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-07-10 02:21:14 +0000 UTC]

An amalgamation of YJ and TT...that would just be regular DCAU style, wouldn't it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-07-12 13:08:44 +0000 UTC]

DCAU...DC Animated Universe.Β  That's what everything from Batman: TAS to Justice League Unlimited at that time became known as.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-09-22 23:17:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I see! Umm… No, that's not the kind of animation I would like for my headcannon. I'd prefer a style of drawing similar to that of Young Justice. The only difference would be that the overall design would incorporate the same Japanese-Anime characteristics that were adopted by Teen Titans. (ex. big, wide or narrow eyes, depending on mood and/or personality; mechanical mouths and motionless chins, when talking or eating; moments of comically exaggerated facial expressions and body language, along with action/emotion-based icons and backgrounds; and, of course, the occasional cartoon physics and chibi scenes) If this proves to be to difficult, just use the Teen Titans style of drawing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-09-24 03:40:38 +0000 UTC]

Well, I can try.Β  But YJ style and TT style don't seem like the types that could mesh together very easily.Β  We'll see when I start working on it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-09-28 03:09:10 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. And, when you post it, please remember to leave out his true identity. All that has to be said about his hero name, Malor, is that it's an abbreviation for the words "malice" and "valor."

As for his costume, all I really want for it is to look like something that an alchemist might wear or to symbolize alchemy in some way. Other than that, you have free creative liberty.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-09-28 12:40:06 +0000 UTC]

Fair enough,Β  identity kept secret.

Hmmm...something an alchemist might wear...do we mean alchemist as in like, a Dark Ages thing or alchemist as in an anime Fullmetal Alchemist-type thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2015-10-01 01:40:43 +0000 UTC]

As far as "alchemy-based mangas/animes" go the only one I have any familiarity with is Buso Renkin, and that's just slightly so. Regardless, I was referring to a practitioner of chemistry's medieval forerunner. (Of course, it's the word "alchemy" that originated in the Dark Ages. The practice itself dates back to the time of the Roman Empire.) But, I don't want Malor to look like he's from that time period. (If anything, he's from the future. All be it, it's the recent future and only from the Titans perspective.)

It is my understanding that alchemy can be considered science in some ways and magic in others. I believe that it can act as a bridge between the two. That's how I wish to portray alchemy in my headcannon and that's what I want my OCs costume to reflect: the scientific method and the magical arts. Something along the lines of "Chemistry meets Witchcraft!"

Also, I'd like for this to be part of his uniform as well:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:S…
It's an alchemical symbol for the creation of the Philosophers Stone. Please, place it somewhere where a symbol would look good.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2015-10-01 16:33:52 +0000 UTC]

Well, given the time period you'd like to go with, you might want to take a look at some of the wardrobes from Fullmetal Alchemist and see if any of those tickle your fancy in terms of style.Β  Granted, it's not exactly futuristic, but it's closer to the timeline you're looking for, if nothing else.

As for that symbol, well, typically, those kinds of things are either stitched onto the coat or are made into a belt buckle.Β  We'll have to see.
