Hi trevor,

after receiving your interesting comments I went in your gallery to see ''who you were''.

Well I've got good news for you (if you don't know that yet): you are not a general digital photographer, as stated on this page, but, to me, you are a very good BW film photographer to be.

I judge yours as an early but very sensitive BW photographer's eye.
This I see in your pictures and in your faves selection.
You see light instead of colours and, by eliminating the colour interference, your compositions get better and better every shoot you take.
You learn quickly.

Play with digital as long as you want but trust me: the day you'll buy a film camera and a few chemicals... there'll be no turning back for you!


If not already in your bookshelf, run and buy "the negative" by Ansel Adams: no matter if you shoot digital or film, you HAVE to read it because it will open you some unexpected doors.

Thanks a lot for your kind words! I am very flattered to hear them from you, as I am very impressed with your work.

I will look into that, I would prob consider Ansel Adams to be my favorite photographer, so have seen much of his work.

As far as the film... you're probably right. I have been looking into getting into an actual class rather than just self taught. When I do I'll prob by a canon body to fit all my lens' so I can go either film/digital. I do like the digital right now cause it lets me experiment a lot and quickly.
