I shoot a continuous roll of film but you don't get the full 24 or 36 shots on the roll you only get about half

sweeet. how long did it take you to makeshift it so it took the 35? i'm trying to repolish and clean a zeiss lens on this contax i got. have you ever done that before?

Well I've got a piece of foam that is cut out to the exact shape to fit inside so I just have to stick that in and then pretty much just tape the film leader to the spool and that's it. So it takes me about 2 minutes.
Have I ever cleaned and polished a lens before? I clean my lenses but not polish I guess

yahhh. thats pretty sweeet stuff. i just got this contax rangefinder with a zeiss sonnar lens. its been sittin for no clue how long. at least a couple years. and since i live in hawaii the lens has been buildin fungus.which ain't good. haha but yah so the only way i can really salvage it and sharpen it is to dissasemble it and clean it out. i don't think i'm gonna mess wit polishin it. haha cause i'll just mess up the optics.

I usually work with black and white as well. Only lately have I really been fooling around with color. Heehee. Yeah, it is more difficult to work with and some details get missed because of it, but the pictures I put up in color I made sure wouldnt look as good in b&w.

I'm shooting mostly sx-70 right now because I bought 10 packets worth of film. Once I'm through with that I'm going to just concentrate on trying to make something magical out of 600 film

yahhh i've mainly shot 600 cause i have a polaroid that takes 600. the quality isn't that great but the time zero polaroids are awsome theres this guy that does portraits with time zero the colors crazzzzy good.

thanks man, i appreciate that actual comment you left me. it's refreshing after hearing "nice pix" for awhile. but yeah dude, i'll check out your gallery, i'm trying to decide whether my next investment is a canon 20D, a 4x5 or a medium format. i think for my photography a 4x5 would be the best investment. i don't think medium format suits my style all that much. but again, thanks man. take it easy

Welcome to deviantart. You've made an interesting start and you do seem to have an eye for photography. Especially your work in black and white can go a long way. I do wish to give you this handy tutorial , which will enable you to get even more from your work. Keep it up!

you could always click the smaller one under 'recently submitted deviations' and save it as the size it is there, and then re-upload your deviantID.

i only have two photos in my gallery that were taken in a studio at my school. but otherwise, no i don't have special lighting. i take alot of my portraits just in my basement.

You should check em out! its real cheap rite now because of digital. alot of real good film cameras are goin extreamly cheap. my backup 35mm is a nikon f3hp. a legend in film 35mm. and its like 2-300ish rite now extreamly cheap for this kind of camera. and my medium issss amazzzinggg a lil more expensive but worth every penny and more! haha you should research it. you have some good stuff and you can learn and experiment alot more wit film!
