I broke out in hiveys a few days before the first, and was sick with a sore throat before that. Sucked. Slept. Currently still on antibiotics. Not so bad; I don't like being sick.

Honestly, your work is quite good. Pencils are tough beasties to mess with; I quite frankly hate using mechanicals (though real wood is fine).
If you were to invest in a higher-grade scanner, it would do your work more justice.
I feel that the technology that you currently use is diminishing the quality of your images.
