aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-08-05 14:12:10 +0000 UTC]

hey, sorry for the *really* late reply, i just moved out the city for college and i just finished establishing the internet here เฒ โ€ฟเฒ

i'm doing quite well here now, but it's so cold here, you know. even the water feels like it was stored in refrigerator, so cold that i often felt numb ๏ผˆ ยด_โŠƒ๏ฝ€๏ผ‰ but i'm slowly adapting, at least. my cousin can't take a bath without hot water even after 4 years (ยฌ_ยฌ")

how are things going with you? (`๏ฝฅฯ‰๏ฝฅยด)

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-08-05 22:58:42 +0000 UTC]

8D High five dude for moving out!! I won't be moving until next month.. >_> I hate cold water, but I still envy you, I'd rather be too cold than too hot like here - California weather for the fail.
Great to hear you're doing well though! As for me I'm just doing studies every day, can get boring sometimes but it is really helping haha. I think I'm finally starting to find my way (between the bouts of mad life block rages of course, lol) So tell me about your school!! What are you majoring in? do you like the college community so far xD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-08-06 12:33:52 +0000 UTC]

yeah! hope you could move out smoothly
so, california? but in a tropical country like mine it's also hot, except around mountain areas and at rainy season. you know, it could reach up to 90 fahrenheit in here. and don't forget the humidity (-___-; )
well, i know, right? studies: you can't leave it be even if you really want to. as for me, college would start at september actually, now i still going through the orientation period. do you have orientation period there? it's when you get (helluva lotta) assignment from the seniors in order to adapt before getting the real thing. but the assignment is really absurd sometimes. i had one which i have to make a bag from a sack and 5 kind of rope. the sack must be all white, the ropes have to be weaved, and it should have the name of the event, and so on, and so on.
well, but the campus is beautiful. so many greenies here (i mean trees) and it's really windy i'm majoring in agro-eco-technology, something with plants, and it's a double degree, so if i had my 2 years here, i'll be transferred to either japan, thailand or philipinnes. it's great so far.
how about your school? i heard it's kinda different in US?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-08-07 22:26:21 +0000 UTC]

ugh yeah the humidity must be terrible! >_<
We do have orientation .. it's in a few weeks now. Basically we go over and sleep over there for a day and there's a bunch of programs and shit. That sack-bag assignment sounds stupid though lol what does that help you learn?? but I guess if it was fun then all good I don't think we have anything like that here at least at my college (it's known for notorious low school spirit haha)
Greenies=trees? at first I thought you were talking about some kind of political activists xD But it's great that you're surrounded by nature. Double degree must be hard! but you'll own them all Life sounds good, I'm happy for you.
As for my school.. not sure, I think it's more similar than you might think.. My school, besides low school spirit, is known for being prude (no drinking/partying) and being boring (nothing to do around the area) Sounds bad but it's actually great for me, as I can focus on my studies.. hehe I'd never have thought I'd say that. But yeah, it's sounding good for me too. Though, my school is being a dipshit about transcripts, I PAID them to send transcript to my college and they failed to do that. And now I have to go there in person so that they can email it. (Yes, email.. =_. Why the fuck do I have to go so they do what they were supposed to do a month ago? =_= Sorry for ranting haha. Everything else is going great. Can't wait to get out of here.
Are you going to keep drawing, once in a while? since you'll be busy with college and stuff. I hope you do keep drawing xD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-08-08 10:07:01 +0000 UTC]

well, probably the sack bag teaches you to be patient with assignment? but the thing is, after i done about halfway, some people sells the very same bag in front of the campus. it's already finished and you just have to freakin' pay and go home, relaxing or stuff. why did they appeared after i almost done?! (ๅฑฎ๏พŸะ”๏พŸ)ๅฑฎ but i suppose it'll cost quite big, not many people want to spent their time braiding ropes, i think.
but the orientation here is much easier than what i went through in highschool. in hs, we have to make coffin-shaped bag from cardboard, and it's big, about 2 feet tall. and we have to wear top hat with dry leaves sticking out of it. not to mention the yelling and written assignments. . the exasperating thing is they gathered us in the yard and the teacher coordinator announced that we have to undergo another week of the orientation. just when some people started crying, they threw buckets of water at us and started laughing. and thus we finally know the whole thing is an act. the seniors were acting really good, you know, and then we lined up and start having friendly handshakes. the seniors apologizing and the juniors thanking them. that was a once in a lifetime experience that's why we are so stubborn, i think.
political activities? haha, i hardly understand about politics XD well, i hope i could do well in the college, thank you i understand about the transcript issues, i had a similar problem like that XD
well, my school also have those rules, but you can't really contain the highschooler's spirit it's really a chaos when the teacher is absent. some would play dodgeball (with a apple plushie, only god knows where that come from) some would start singing like a bunch of drunkard, chasing each other (all in a classroom) and some simply headed to cafeteria.
well, hopefully your school going well, and also the moving out process i'm glad everything is going great there good luck, 'kay?
and as for drawing, i still do that, but i don't have a scanner here i'm planning in getting a part-time soon, maybe saving up for tablet, hehe

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-08-11 22:48:11 +0000 UTC]

LOL did you sell yours??? ahahhaha
We didn't really have any orientation for high school, just a bunch of paperwork to submit. Stupid thing is that they force each grade to do it for a day only so the line was long and I wasted so much fucking time just standing there. People sold 'ticket' things to hold them a spot and tons of people got scammed. Lol but seriously that is like nothing compared to what you tell me about, so glad there is nothing like that here. (you might have guessed.. i have no school spirits) Speaking of spirit .. I've heard that my college peers don't have spirit either. So .. there is none to be controlled from the start, or something. Hopefully thats not true lol I want to play dodgeball with an apple plushie!! sounds fun xD Thanks for the luckwishing as well, I will need it this year!
I would totally send over my scanner to you if I could, nobody uses it in my house except me and I inherited my dad's really nice camera so now I'm too lazy to even bother going downstairs to scan. Keep drawing though!! and maybe u can take bad quality pics of it to show me haha

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-08-14 13:57:04 +0000 UTC]

maybe i should sell mine next year.. i just have to keep it save and bleach it when the time comes. and now i have an assignment to make a group performance.. with 70 people --" hope we can make it
i know! i had same experience when administrating the documents. my faculty consists of 851 people and we only have 1 booth and a day. i wait from 8pm to 7am, you know. we also have health test, and the doctor just being an asshole when he found out i have partial colorblind. he just said: "oh, you should go to another faculty, we can't have colorblind here" yeah, say that to my genes! i somehow saved by the professor though, what a luck.
and i have met with the other students, they are really nice! well, maybe because it's more conservative here, chivalry still exists with all its gentleman glory! the boys are really caring, you know. when we part ways, they'll say, "be save!" or "would you want a ride?" so nice, aren't they not? i feel like a spoiled princess here, or maybe the boys from my previous city are jerks XD
and well, it's still good you have no school spirit, i have mood-swings XD and you'll see my pics quite soon, i believe. i'll be back to my family at august 22nd, because we have national holiday

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-08-15 00:48:39 +0000 UTC]

Bleach it, why? D: And good luck with coordinating 70 people for a single performance, lol!
My brother is color blind, full red-green or something. so I feel for ya :\ Color blind btw is such a horribly misleading term
I gotta say though, community there, sounds fantastic! I wish guys were like that here. Or somewhere xD But then I can't say much as most of the guys I know are the typical teenage lame-asses.. crossing my fingers that it will be different.
Tell me about your mood swings? what do you mean by it xD and great about the pics! though on 22 I'll be going to my college for orientation (ha such irony, you come back home while I leave) so I might not be able to see it for a few days :c I _am_ taking my laptop along, but who knows what strange and long events they have in mind for us freshmen..

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-08-26 08:46:02 +0000 UTC]

gaaah! sorry for the really late reply, i just get back here and i forgot how hectic my home was -____- well, maybe i should've see it coming, with 6 siblings ^^
well, bleach it so it'll be all white again next year XD thanks for the support, we finally done with the performance it's not that great, but it'll do :]
haha, actually the guys pretty creepy because they're brutally honest. a guy came to me, then we have some small talk and he suddenly said "you're beautiful" with straight-poker face. how did you suppose to react? i mean, O___O
mood-swings? well, i can be nerdy and workaholic at a time but i can be, like, "huh, this assignment didn't need to be done, right?" or "i have absent once, so it didn't matter if didn't attend the rest of the day, right?" weird, i know, but i don't like my attendance have only a single 'absent'. i like balance or maybe i just a balance-freak, who knows?
how about your orientation now? tell me how it's going! is it as "FUN" as my orientation? XD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-09-01 02:47:19 +0000 UTC]

Brutally honest must be nice when you are a sweet and pretty person like you xD Me I'd probably kill myself after a month (can you imagine? talking as usual, then all of sudden the other dude's like.. Hey you're really ugly / Hey you're such an asshole) ;-; I really admire your attitude though, balance between extremes. I need to learn from you xD
Orientation went fine .. though I had a bad stomache both mornings because of the food and bad sleep because of noisy neighbors! >:\ otherwise, it went much better than I expected. We had this weird thing at the end when we close our eyes and touch other people (lol now that I write it out it sounds creepy, but it wasn't bad) the college people were much, MUCH nicer than I ever expected.
So now what's up? have you 'assimilated' yet >

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-09-01 11:12:09 +0000 UTC]

no, seriously, it's creepy ;___; and don't say so! people may judge your appearance, but the very first impression is determined by your acts and talks, not appearance. even if someone really good-looking, they wouldn't be praised if they have rotten attitude -__- you're a nice person, i can tell ^__^
you only have 2 days for orientation? i have 4.. and i had allergy on the 3rd, but nothing worse. and yeah! noisy neighbors! but my landlady is strict, so after 10pm, the noises will die down significantly. and when you say 'touch other people' i was thinking 'whoa, mass groping!' 0____0 and glad you found nice people there! i hope you have many good friends
well, i 'assimilated' just fine, the people using javanese, but i can understand it. the problem is i can't really talk in javanese, so i'm replying their texts and chat with indonesian. i hope i can re-learn javanese in my stay here. i'm luckier than my friends who didn't understand javanese at all but i don't understand maduranese (i don't know if i should say 'maduran' or 'maduranese' in english, which one sounds better?) and i also have friend from borneo, celebes, and even from abroad, it's so varied here, i'm sure i'll be a multilingual in the next 2-3 years XD
what about there? met many interesting culture?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-09-09 00:09:23 +0000 UTC]

"Mass groping" lol I lol'd so bad! don't worry, the groping was done in a well-organized manner, we took turns in a circle. (or is that even more creepy o_O) Thank you for the reassurance, I hope I am a nice person, but I seem to be a too-nice pushover half the time and a bitter asshole the other half. haha must find the balance as you say.
Maduran or Maduranese? I don't know, but wait so you have to learn two new (ish) languages? (javanese and maduran(ese))? woah everyone speaks english here so no prob like that here. Your place sounds so nice, people from many different cultures. at my college it's not very varied. ;o Oh well I'm sure everyone is varied in their own ways, even if 99% of us come from the same place more or less.
so how are you doing? it's been a while since your last reply D: are you eating well? or surviving on insta ramen and junk food like I am? (I'm not at college yet, but my mouth's cravings seems to be preparing for it) how are classes, and your teachers? are you still drawing? xD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-09-11 08:37:15 +0000 UTC]

organized mass groping XD that-is-creepier. don't worry dear, you'll find your balance ;D i myself very moody and jerk at times, everyone needed to vent
the languages? actually i understand javanese, but i'm clueless about maduranese (?). thank god we have indonesian as national language, so it's optional to learn or not.
yeah, it's nice to see cultural difference here, really interesting. well, even if your place is not as varied, you're right about the various traits you sounds so wise
and so sorry for the late reply X( i rarely use internet here. i've bought a wireless adapter though, and i'll have unlimited access soon i actually didn't really like junkfood, (ramen is an exception, though) so i'm learning to cook here. nothing too fabulous, but it'll do
my classes would start at september 13th, along with the department's orientation. yay *sarcasm intended*
and of course i'm drawing here. the sketchbook here are really cheap (really, i'm in heaven) the one i usually use are sold for a buck. lucky <3 XD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

reqaro In reply to aruzza [2011-09-21 21:32:31 +0000 UTC]

heey!! what up, sorry for late reply! I finally got working internet after a few days of net-starvation
I am now at college!! actually eating better here than at home, weird haha but I haven't touched junk food yet. Learning cooking here as well, share any cool easy recipes you find? xD
'you sound so wise' haha if that's so I only wish I was as wise as I sound. >_< I'm afraid I'll turn into some hobo holing up in my dorm alone with the internet .. o_O
and ramen, of course!! everyone likes ramen (if they don't, they are not human) Do you recommend any good brands, that taste good?
classes for you must have started a week ago! how are they? how are the teachings, and the workload? class for me starts tomorrow.
post moar art

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

aruzza In reply to reqaro [2011-09-23 08:39:13 +0000 UTC]

awww, you're so sweet and no problems about late or not, net-starvation is a global problem for college students
and heck, me too! i mean, my granny always stuffing my plate with vegetables, and so many other stuff :I but actually i rarely eat lunch now free wireless ARE tempting just like that XD well, recipes here used a lot (and i mean LOTS OF) garlic and onion, and chili pepper. the big red one tho, so it wouldn't be spicy
don't you have any extra-curricular activities? we have a ton here from art space, to political council, until business organization :3 i wanna join and gaining money from there, but it's dominated by males D: maybe it's time for me to give 'em some feminine touch (like hell i am)
the brands here are just sold locally, looks like they have regular taste, and 'indonesian' tastes like 'skipjack tuna', 'chicken satay' and so on.
well, the class aren't that bad, actually. but some of the professor are using english in lectures, but aside from scientific term, i understand pretty well. some of my friend were having a hard time just to understand, poor guys D: and the profs are really different from hischool teachers! there's one prof that gave us assignment to make a resume of a whole chap, and said "be prepared for test next week!!" ;A; AND HE WAS ABSENT YESTERDAY, GODDAMMIT!! *sorry for the outburst, i needed that *
thank you for your support i most certainly will post more art
