Yeah the shoutbox is alive and well...we just very recently narrowly escaped being taken offsite completely... and I mean that literally. It came down to Angelo coming in the box and actually talking to us about it. Well the reason we were treated to a personal one on one with our fearless leader was because a bout a year ago he just dropped in the box. I think he was just curious if people still hung. There was a good hunk of us in there, and we just all shot the breeze with him. He was impressed with our stick-to-it-ness, and he was into our little sub community. He gifted everyone in the box at the time with at least a year subscription, and he gave us his word that the box would not being going anywhere.

The decision to remove the box finally was not one he was in on. Him finding out was quite the surprise to him. He isn't always in on every little thing going down here, which is understandable anbd common in most companies. At any rate, he went and talked to others and found out what was up. The most common reason attributed to the box being removed was the size of the group using it, secondly was aethetics...the box has not been updated for some time...so it kind of clashes with the decor they are shooting for. They really didn't want to spend any time in the box putting some modern shine on it...so Angelo was going to stick to the staffs plan to remove it entirely.

He came in once to state that, and apparently all hell broke loose. I was not present, but because the box being removed became News on the site, there were a lot of non regs, and box haters on hand...instigating and such. For from what I heard it got ugly. When I came in that day, the whole shit storm had just happened maybe an hour prior. Angelo came back in with a compromise, to remove the outer links but leave the url open, he felt bad that he did not stand by his promise. That way, we could still have our little place, and the site would not have to wporry about people who weren't aware of seeing it, and it's outdatedness. In the end, everyone was happy!

Angelo is okay in my book. The only reason we kicked up as much dust as we did, wasbecause of the promise he made...if not for that....sure we would of been sad ...angry etc...and we would of pleaded out case...but in that case, it is what it is, you know?

I don't really find dA all that enjoyable anymore. Sometimes the shoutbox is worth a go every now and then, but art isn't something I can really do anymore.

I've seen that Jak II picture before, but it's still good. The chibi Spyro I haven't, but definitely cute, and Lara Croft, well..let's just say eventually, I actually want to get a tattoo of her.
