No. Not really. People read him in college, I suppose. He's not completely unknown though.

Oh, it's the same in Poland. In High School we have to read "The Plague", sometimes also "The Myth of Sisyphus" but only the last part. But I've never heard about reading "Nausea" by Sartre or other novels influenced by existentialism.

I actually haven't even read Sartre, but I know Sartre is most definitely not wide read in America.
