I see you figured out the "is currently" thing... see the top bar that on the left says deviantart? (yeah you already went there...) go to the far right and look at the buttons.
Journal: yeah... you write a journal... you can really put anything you want in there...
Profile: I see you already at least half figured this one out... if you didn't see before... once in there you can acess your displayed information about yourself... (on the various tabs near the top of the page...)
Settings: name is self explanatory... more of what profile is... kinda'.

...and try out some emoticons... most emoticons are simply "word" surounded by :'s [link]
