ur 40k stuff are amazing, i can really see the huge amount of time you put into converting and painting these guys.....do you happen to work for the eavy meta people at GW? with skills like thses you should be painting for display cases...

well it seems you have an expansive if not flexible wallet, heh heh just a joke. i would love for you to tell me some hints on taking pictures of models (inquisitor scale). if i get a good shot of it i shall submit my eldar ranger. i am entering him into golden demon canada this year.

Hey dude,

Thans for the comment's on Fabius Bile
You have some cool minatures here but htey are quite hard to see
I have some tips/suggestions for photographing them for you based on my experiences.

varnish - essential to stop chipping as you mention and gloss varnish is harder and more wearing, so it protects the modle more, But there is nothing to stop you putting a matt varnish over the gloss as the last coat, This takes that "Enamel" shine from the varnish and reduces the reflections in a photograph.

Lighting - If you can try and get two lamps or failing that two normal lights to shine on the modles you will eliminate most of the shadows that confuse the detail of on the minatures when you take your picture.

Another thing is to get a background that contrasts with the colours on the minature. This has two bonuses as you can then cut out the background in photoshop easier if you want to put a custom background on the picture and it helps define the minature.

I personally play Imperial Guard but enjoy the Inquisitor models all the same.
