Speaking of drawing, may I ask how you managed to get so good at drawing?(like did you need a mentor next to you most of the time)

Me? Not really. Me and my bro are pretty much self taught.
The only way I can explain my talent is practice. I drew a lot of Sonic stuff (you can even see a lot of my older pics in my gallery).
Over the years, if I found something difficult to draw, like hands or dynamic poses, then I would draw more of them back-to-back-to-back and learn from my mistakes rapid fire. Since I like drawing Sonic characters, it was never tedious and always fun, even if the end results were bad. But, after enough practice, you could see improvement, even in a short amount of time.
That is basically how I got where I am today. I find a weakness in my game, and then I practice that till its not a weakness anymore. Then I move on to the next thing, always looking to get better.

Heh. There will always be speedbumps. I remember when I stopped drawing freehand + scanner and moved onto working with a tablet + pen. It was a huge change and I had to almost start from scratch.
But if you keep at it, even major changes like that can eventually be overcome.

So I've been surfing through dA and stubled upon a lot of comments of yours asking ppl for requests. Besides, I'm sure this comment isn't the only time you are asking me for a freebie.
I mean no offense, but you need to realize that request is more of a thing to converge the watchers' opinion and takes it into account for his next work. One could do a favor for others by giving free art, but request is definitely not a thing to compulsively order others to suit your desire. You know that a lot of people have affairs besides dA stuffs, and some can barely spare a minute for his free time.
And if one does do you a free gig for you, it does make the artist proud and fruitful for the service he has done if you deliver your sincerest thanks to him, instead of straight commanding for another request.
Hope you understand what I'm suggesting.
