Good afternoon, dear!

I fully understand what you said in your message - it's like when people tell me that I'm very skilled in Photoshop. To be honest, I don't like it that much when people say that I'm 'amazing at photo manips', because I don't know half of the things that the really talented photo manipulators out there know. Sure, I'm honoured when I heard such comments, but I feel a bit awkward at the same time.

The people who say such things about your beautiful work of art probably don't know a penny about taking photographs with feelings, they probably just take their own photos just to gain popularity at dA, which is wrong. A true artist brings forward the emotions in a photograph, without thinking about how many people that will eventually his or her work. I'm happy to be one of the persons that appreciate emotions and feelings in work of art, and I will always give you my 100% support. Keep doing what you feel good about, and try not to think about those that cannot tell what real art is about.
People have asked me why I create the manips that I do. Why I don't follow the 'mainstream' when it comes to photo manipulation. And the only thing I can tell them is: 'I do whatever I want that makes me feel good about myself'. Some of them just cannot fully understand this (especially since they don't understand that my photo manips are my expressed thoughts at the moment that I created them), which is sad. dA is a forum for art, and everyone is entitled to have a personal opinion, but some people that criticise should try to at least respect an artist's explanation when explanation is given.

And I should start saving up my money for a trip to Vienna. I've never been there, actually, which is quite sad because I've heard that it's beautiful there. I hope to see it someday! Ah, you should come to Sweden sometime, it's really nice here. You could take really lovely nature photos here, as well, and I would show you around in the city.

Thank you for your kind words, you just made my day! I really like butterflies, they seem to be so free and sometimes, they're kind of mystical creatures that seem to connect to some sort of fairy land, indeed... I've always wanted to create a photo manip of myself, which is why I uploaded my new dA ID. But that's the only good photo that I have of myself and I don't have a camera that's good for taking any additional photos, so all the plans I have for manip's are wasted.

Ah, those songs are lovely! You play the guitar, eh? That's really cool! I wish I could - I used to play the piano in my earlier days. The last time I sat by my piano was for about 6 years ago, so I don't remember anything, which is frustrating but life goes on. >_<
