XD Is only all rawr, because of the way the guy (Fletcher) worded it. I'm not 100% what Jasper would do after hearing that whole toast thing. It's amusing though, to have this going on. n.n I figure after a few instances, I can hopefully get the hang of him. I managed to do a few sections of Jasper POV for it n.n

...Well Fletcher and his buddies (clearly drunking a bit) were talking about how much 'fun' Mira'd to 'plow' and try to get babies. So...yeah... They were also at someone else's house for a evening of such or other. I think my intent was to have Jasper look for Mira (cause after the whole 'we're not going to force you to marry Mira' thing, Jasper couldn't explain to himself why he was kind of upset about it and such) and he heard that. The Fletcher and his buddies though, would be stupid enough to say "By all means, bring her reputation down more by dueling with me. Make it easier on me." And then depending on if it came up, someone'd be tactless enough to say 'don't worry, if she does bear your bastard, I'll treat it like my own'. The fortune hunter groups are not very bright.

lmao they're very drunk. Dueling would have defended her honor, not ruined her reputation so Jasper would have dueled, wiped the floor with them, apologized to the host, and then left telling his whatchama-call-em man to stay behind and make sure Mira got home safely

XD Actually, it is damaging to the lady's reputation either way, to duel. It's scandalous to be the reason why gentlemen duel. It's one of those double edged sword of that era lol. Also thinking that Mira's family would have been invited to stay with the Moreau's for the whole holiday. At least for dueling Mira won't bite Jasper's head off. Though I can totally see Jasper's man going back "Do you want to know what happened after you left?" cause the word would of spread and if Mira found Fletcher or he approached her, Mira'd of dumped her drink on him and murmured to him "You should be grateful that Lord Jasper let you live. I would have shot you for it." Though Mira'd have to stay late cause if he and her left, there'd just be more talk. ...I'm just hoping Mira'd father doesn't get the bright idea to challenge Fletcher himself. He is a horrible shot and has actually shot himself in the leg.

aaaaand anyone who knows Jasper knows better than to think he's going to put up with slander xD I promise you the drunks will get their asses beat and the town will shun everything they say about Mira from that moment on. if anyone keeps it up they'll get to face being shunned by his family. They don't put up with that. LOL Jaspers dad would tell him to let Jasper handle it xD it would eventually, if it got bad enough, result in Jasper turning to the morons and going 'I suppose you really are this dense because you can't seem to get it through your thick skull that you're bad mouthing my fiancè and I will not tolerate it.' xD mira might hit Jasper for that one.

Oh god Mira would go "Oh dear, I fear I shan't be able to sleep until I assure myself he is alright" and then go track him down with a "While I'm grateful you've made most of the fortune hunters leave town along with the cruder sort do you suppose you could tell me why I am apprently engaged to you and am the last to know it?" and after that explanation is out, groaning and lots of cursing in Turkish or Russian with a "Out of my way to ensure you'd not be forced into this kind of situation and you walk into it. (previous also in the forgien tongue) You do realize that if you break the engagement now, I will be considered unmarriageable and will be a spinster if I'm lucky?" Because after the duel, to break an engagement will not end well for her. She'd be a pariah in the marriage mart. "So, mon amour, I hope you've got a plan to extract us from this situation if you're not prepared to do a follow through." Mira won't hit him for it yet, she's boredering it though. She was friendly with him because they talked a lot and the wolves and such so she's trying not to burn the friend bridge. Cause he also went out into a snow storm to go let her know that his niece was found and got her to the hunting box and was totally repsectful. (Granted he told her to get out of her outer clothes cause she was turning blue and was soaked, but it wasn't for a nefarious purpose (so Mira didnt tell daddy about that) and when they slept in the same bed, it was for warmth. <.< Though Mira probably would have murmured 'Thank you for being a gentlemen' and kiss his cheek for it. Meant a lot to her.) I am rolling though, wondering what Jasper'd do to get out of that or if he'd even want out.

LOL! Yeah, I was like "Well, let's see if I can find out information on what kind of colors were acceptable for young ladies in that era cause I'm working on this scene" and I stumbled on that. I was like "ALRIGHT! I got half the "Mira's past Poppa tells her that Jasper offered for her" down and I can imput the negotiations! <.< Jasper's also pissed cause yeah, a bunch of people were toasting him for ruining Mira and upping their odds to get the 'Golden Goose' is what they dubbed her. He was ready to skewer me with a pool cue for it, cause I didn't have him doing more than making a fist and gritting his teeth. He resorted to snarling when I told him "T.T You know to duel over a lady, tarnishes her reputation more, right?" cause it did back then. It really, really did.

The only thing he was happy about was that her father back then, said he wouldn't be forcing a match. His reasons for not demanding one was, "My daughter said that he was the epitome of a gentlemen the entire time. He didn't take her virtue therefore, I don't see why I should have to force a match." Cause if Jasper and Mira had had sex (not that Mira would have told her daddy that) he'd think nothing of demanding it be rectified.

Here is their old refs: Shaheen Al Haddyah  & Bambi Liberty  And if it wasn't one of them, it was another of my recently purchased Arabians. Um...Based on my favs (where I noticed them being stored) I would say about 2 years ago, so like 2013? Since that is when I faved them.

no it really is that there's a deadline very close up and I have about 7 other commissions on my HARPG account that I have to finish that have been waiting longer I: so I really don't see myself getting another Golden Claw image in on time. If there's another show you'd like with  alonger deadline I could probably get one done for that
