Thanks!  been dealing with a dead hard drive the past few weeks! Almost back up to running speed again.  New SSD and spare 2TB backup drive!

  first blender run crashed before completion    Not sure if its external, internal or software (lightning, power flickering, etc.)

i have completed several blender renders without crashes- keeping fingers crossed.  A UPS might be a good idea
