I am just dying to know the secrets behind your Princess Tutu necklace! And your entire cosplay is gorgeous! How did you do in the competition?

Thanks! There really aren't any secrets to the necklace, I think I explain it a little on my cosplay dot com Princess Tutu page. I will say, though, that quality materials make all the difference. There was a lot of trial and error before I found the good stuff to make it.
And as for competition, I really haven't won anything major for it. I might enter it one more time this coming weekend, though I'm working on a new costume that I'm hoping to finish in time and enter instead. So we'll see ^_^

It's a lot about luck, the last con I competed at had a split in the stage floorboards and I got hurt en pointe on stage, which is why I didn't get a thing (there was a Tutu before me and she performed on a different part of the stage and was fine). It was just very bad. But I might try again sometime soon.
My new costume is almost finished and I'll prolly post it in a week or so, so check back ^_^

Oh my god. Are your feet okay? I understand you're a dancer as well as a cosplayer, so getting your feet injured is really serious.

It was mild as far as injuries go, it's well healed by now, but I need to wait a little so I don't overstrain that foot by going back too fast ^_^.

Thanks! To make a necklace, you can use any kind of red shaped material, like clay or ceramic or plastic even, and then for the details you can hammer some gold, or silver and then dip it in gold, and high quality crystals for the stones, and the wings just need to be something clear, like a thin sheet of glass or plastic or resin cut into the right shape. Really good materials make it look great (I've worn mine out before just with normal clothes and got really positive reactions). Good luck! Can't wait to see what you come up with! ^_^
